Card Processing Center Formerly Spiegel/Eddie Bauer/Newport News Reports verifies inaccurate or incomplete information to credit reporting agencies Old Bethpage New York
For more one year, I have filed numerous consumer disputes with the three major credit reporting agencies in regard to an old Spiegel account (from 2002) that I settled as of 11/02/2006 for the principle amount due plus interest, totalling $107.28. The alleged balance due was $268.
The credit reporting agencies have corrected some of the information; however, Card Processing Center and Cardholder Mangement Services LLC allegedly verifies the inaccurate or incomplete information I dispute as "correct and complete." At this time, I am filing a credit report dispute directly with Card Processing Center and Cardholder Management Services LLC. (Card Processing Center reports this account to TransUnion and Cardholder Management Services/Spiegel reports this account to Experian and Equifax.)
According to the BBB, FCNB is no longer in business. Card Processing Center has taken over for FCNB. Cardholder Management Services LLC or CMS/Spiegel is NOT Spiegel OR Card Processing Center. If you go to Cardholder Management Services website, you will realize that CMS is a tracking and collection agency.
Creditors try to trick consumers into paying what the creditors believe is owed to them-even when the account is officially settled. Consumers need to realize who they are dealing with and do not take every statement from them to heart. You have to think like a lawyer.
I am thankfull for the internet and Rip Off Report because I have successfully defeated a debt buyer who filed a civil suit against me as the "creditor" of Aspire Visa, and now I am fighting Card Processing Center and Cardholder Management Services LLC.
