For a one-time use, I signed up for Care.com one month discount trial with a credit card I rarely use.  Well, unbeknownst to me I have been being charged $39.00 EVERY MONTH for a total of $417.00 !!! All for one babysitter and I am Unemployed!!! I have been out of work with an ankle fracture and have been recovering from surgery and just needed a babysitter to take the kids outside a bit during the summer because I couldn't.  Well, as I was preparing for taxes in March I noticed this $39.00 charge from Care.com on my March 2016 statement and I checked back and saw that Care.com has  been charging me all along for a service I am not using.  I called and spoke to  Jeffery Cabo, a customer service representative, who agreed that I should not have been charge.  He said he has seen this happen quite a bit and he would submit my request for a refund to our billing team for review.  Well I got an email reply that I was not eligible for a refund under any circumstances but as a curtesy they would refund me $39.00.  That's it!! So I am unemployed and paying almost $40 a month for a service that I HAD NO NEED FOR AND DID NOT USE - but once.  There have been many complaints of the EXACT SAME PROBLEM.  Do a Google search for Care.com and 1. Unfair Billing Practices, 2. Reviews 3. Consumer Complaints 4. ComplaintsBoard, 5. Scams.  You will find thousands of complaints just like mine. Luckily, my sister is a lawyer and I have discussed this with her and she is working on drafting up a letter.
