Career Network "Job Scout" Set up an interview w/ me; didn't keep interview promise and I lost time/wages from my current job, Internet
After submitting all of my personal employment information (resume) to Career Network via online form, a separate screen popped up, asking me if I'd be interested in a position with "Job Scout" and then asked me to select an interview time and date. It gave me an access code of 259111 as confirmation. I am currently employed, so to allot for the interview with "Job Scout," a//k/a "Career Network," I requested an alternate schedule with my employer (came into work an hour early) and got off of work early as well to accomodate the time for the interview.
My interview was scheduled for September 15, 2010 at 4:00 pm (EST) and the time came and went without a phone call from them, as promised. I then placed a call to Career Network and spoke to a gentleman who said he didn't have any record of my interview. He then proceeded to try and get me to "verify" my employment through what he called a "verification" process. I told him that I had already done that with a representative of his company. He then apologized and said he had no further information about the supposed interview that was scheduled with me.
On this same day, at 5:20 pm, I received a phone call from a Mr. John Black who said he was from "Career Advisor," who probed me for personal information that I didn't feel comfortable giving over the phone, especially in light of all that just happened. He said that was not a problem and then tried to sell me on furthering my education. I told him I was not interested and hung up. The number he called from was 866-927-5206.
I don't know what kind of SCAM is going on here, but I feel certain that it is one and I intend to pursue this to the fullest extent of the law.

They are not going to call you! YOU are supposed to call them at the number provided and enter an access code. Here's the email:
"You recently applied for theJob Scoutposition with our company, and scheduled a phone conference call to learn more about the position.
