This company advertises an extensive list of jobs such as typist, data entry, accounts payable, etc. Yet, after you pay the fee and finally see the listing, you'll find that 98% of the list are telemarketing jobs with salaries based on commission.

The listings are the same you find in business opportunity section in the back of a magazine. When I contacted one of the companies advertising a position, it lead me to teh voicemail of a man that sounded like he was operating out of a boiler room setup.

The bottomline is most companies will not use careersfromhome to advertise their jobs. You can find the same information for FREE on hotjobs or monster.

I bet people are confusing HOMECS.COM with your Careersfromhome.com While most 'work at home' sites are bogus, I have not yet determined that careersfromhome is yet. Unlike HOMECS.COM or 'Global online systems', both of which are 100% bogus despite being listed on legit job boards, both of which are criminally guilty of actions and are being sued by people I know.

CareersFromHome.com is nothing more than a specialty job board. We charge job seekers a nominal membership fee, but allow employers to post their telework jobs for free. This is a different approach than what Monster.com and Hotjobs are using, but it seems to be working well, especially for employers looking exclusively for telecommuters. Toni Kistner, a writer for Network World, recently wrote an article about us. She spoke extensively about the problem of public perception in regards to alternative job sites. When we launched CFH most of the employers posting jobs were larger Fortune 1000 companies. Since the fall off in the economy we've had fewer large companies and more micro businesses. We still don't allow jobs that require an investment on the part of the job seeker. Once the economy picks up, I'm sure more of the large companies will return to use us on a regular basis.
