Carla Christman was charged under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act after constables seized 28 thin and emaciated horses languishing with intreated injuries on her property. Investigators also discovered 39 terrier mix dogs, puppies and cats in an unventilated area so thick with the stench of ammonia and feces that officers gagged upon entry.
This woman was taking donations from the public on the pretext of running an animal rescue
The animals are in SPCA foster homes awaiting rehoming.
