Carlton Sheets Personal Coaching ironically also known as the so called 'respected' Franklin Covey Company (many use their time management system and organization systems) contacted me concerning that they could help me reach my personal financial and real estate goals, conned me in to purchasing the program, not telling me that this was not a money back guarantee from the beginning and mentioned that all of the questions and goals could be better utylized by using the 'personal' coaching service.

They mentioned that they had an unlimited personal coaching resource line, which was constantly difficult to even find a coach on the line. They lied about the service, made false claims, and then would not return my money after their poor service. Their service was an outright lie, and they go on to tell potential customers that their Franklin Covey company is a well respected organization due to their satisfying millions of customers through their organization tools.

If I never see my hard earned money again, I hope that the parent company of the Carlton Sheets Coaching--aka Franklin Covey Company represented by the famous millionairs Steven R. Covey and Hyrum W. Smith lose their business through the fraudulent activity they have done to me personally.

Now I know what Steven R. Covey and Hyrum W. Smith are really like, conning their customers into their deceitful scams. I will never listen to these famous gurus again.

EMPLOYEE RESPONSES A HOAX

#2Consumer Comment

Thu, November 11, 2004

Please note that I am the original consumer that made this complaint, and have responses to the employees' and former employees' responses. COMMENT TO EMPLOYEE AND COMPANY REBUTTALS Please note the following are rebuttals to previous rebuttals to the complaints concerning Franklin Covey and Carlton Sheets Personal Coaching. 1. In the rebuttals, one employee asserts that Carlton Sheets Personal Coaching has nothing to do with Franklin Covey. In my meeting with the employee that sold me the product, he mentioned to me that he was employed by Franklin Covey. He also asserted that Stephen R. Covey and Hyrum W. Smith were respectable individuals that were not in the business of doing bad business deals. Now the rebuttals state that Carlton Sheets Personal Coaching was not part of Franklin Covey. Also, that Carlton Sheets only rented office space from Franklin Covey. Now the integrity of the individuals' rebuttals and Franklin Covey are on the line, because the person that did business with me told me face to face that he was an employee of Franklin Covey, and that this was a subsidery of Franklin Covey. Then, he mentioned to me that this was not dishonest and even mentioned the good names of Steven Covey and Hyrum Smith in hopes that he would close a business deal with me. When I first dealt with Franklin Covey, the receptionist mentioned 'that's in our coaching division'. So, I had two people that did not deny that Carlton Sheets Coaching and Franklin Covey that they were the same companies. Now, how can these people assert that Carlton Sheets Personal Coaching was not a part of Franklin Covey, if these employees represented Franklin Covey, and validated that they were the same company by stating it was in their coaching division, and even used these gentlemen's names to generate business with me. Now out in the business world, Steven Covey and Hyrum W. Smith may be respectable individuals; however, their company still dealt dishonestly with me, has not refunded my money, has still not resolved the issue as of the year 2004, and I will never set foot in another store, do business with, or listen to a Stephen Covey, Hyrum Smith, Carlton Sheets, or any of these individuals until they make right the damages that they have created to me personally. Then we hear today, that Stephen Covey is one of the top 25 great inflencers of our day, very interesting. I will never listen to him again, because his company conned me out of about $4,000.00, and that was back in 2001. If Franklin Covey wants to get contact with the Bad Business Bureau to resolve this issue for the company to contact me, then that's fine. Otherwise, individuals that read this particular report, the company employee responses are a hoax, and they probably didn't understand everything that was going on with the company due to possible coverups.

Check Your Facts

You need to check the facts before you spout off. The Sheets stuff started and then moved to the Frankin Office. I know both Mr. Covey and Mr. Smith to be people of high integrity. My question is once these items are removed and found to be false are the comments removed from the site? This should be so. As for the BBB, yes companys pay to be listed with them - - but this does not effect their claim. It is very important that we understand that. I worked for a company where I need to follow up on these claims and they treat them very seriously.

#4UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, June 19, 2003

I am an ex-employee of FranklinCovey Co. and I know, without a doubt, that Carlton Sheets Personal Coaching is a completely separate legal entity. They rent space in the FranklinCovey building to conduct their business, that is all. I participated in numerous meetings with FranklinCovey VP's to discuss the logistics of the separation between the two companies. Please obtain all of the facts before making accusations against a company or the employees within it.

We are sure you would like to hush up this whole matter, but we are committed to letting the people know the whole matter, so they can be taught correct principles and then decide for themselves.

We believe that secrecy is sometimes needed to protect those who are willing to provide the truth, especially when secrecy is being used for more maleficent purposes. I am sure you would like the true identity of your employees who reveal inside information. Why don't you tell us ALL, the reasons you want that information?

You have requested more information and your victim will now have an opportunity to provide you with the information you request. That's how this works. Pursuant to your comment about the BBB: We are sure you would be more comfortable with them, because they are advocates for the BUSINESS.

Here is a unique concept for you, we advocate for consumers. Of course you are not comfortable with that situation, if your motivation is to take advantage. We level the playing field in that situation. With the BBB, your "paid membership" is encouraged so that your offenses will be covered up, (unless BBB sees some publicity coming) we require truth and honesty; concepts unfamiliar to most unprincipled businesses.

Rather than "covering up," we recommend that you retrench and either explain the allegations or make amends for these wrongs.

#6UPDATE Employee

Thu, December 26, 2002

I need your help. I am trying to find the email, phone number, order number or whatever for Thomas in SLC. I am concerned it is a frustrated employee or something. At least w/ the BBB, we are able to look at what the situation is. I would like to review if you could help.

I have looked for Thomas first and last name.
Tom, Tommy, Tomas, Ted, Theador, in our database for the entire state of Utah let alone SLC and can't find any. Not to say that data searches don't find things that are there.

I would like to understand the situation. I would prefer this not be posted as I want to look at the entire situation.

Thanks.

Carlton Sheets Rip-Offs

#7Consumer Comment

I completely agree with the people that write about Carlton Sheets rip-offs. I was ripped off over 2 years ago for more than 2 thousand dollars. This coaching service is completely ignorant and not knowledgable at all about the current marketplace and Carlton Techniques.

I have asked numerous questions about the real estate and every time they would not know the answer.

Coaches would not return my call and I would never be able to get a hold of anybody at the "coaching" center. Finally, after 2 weeks, I got fed up and decided to cancel but guess what? I was never able to receive even a penny of my money back.

The goal of this coaching program is take take your money, the rest is not their problem. Do not be fooled by great sales pitches.

I had one lawyer review the sales agreement and his response was: "This sales agreement has clauses that the death row inmate would not have." This should tell you anything you need about that program.
