I bought the Carlton Sheets real estate course and gave my credit card number. I never opened the box...ever. I sent it back before my trial period was up. That was on 2/25/04. I sent it back via DHL and got a tracking number. I tracked the package on-line. It was received and signed for on 2/27/04 in Wood Dale, Illinois. My credit card was still charged. I called the PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION INSTITUTE who was representing the program. After speaking to customer service and gave the tracking number and the persons name who signed for it, my account was credited.

One month later...my card was charged again. I called again and was told that a "disk was missing." which appears to be a common scam. I explained that the box was never opened and I verified this on 2/27/04. My account was credited and closed (Or so I was told.) One week later...I received a bill in the mail for the program. It said that Professional Education Institute tried to charge my account and the charge was denied so I am now receiving bills in the mail. I called again, I was told again that my account was closed and I would not receive any more mail, or bills, or charges.

Bottom line...Professional education institute is a rip-off company who makes money from scams and lies. If anyone reading this is planning a class action lawsuit, I want in!!! If I don't hear from anyone in 30 days, I will sue PEI myself for harrassment, charging my account without authorization, and anything else a lawyer says I can charge them with. My bottom line figure is 25 million dollars.

I'll be returning the course in a couple days. They did tell me I should insure the shipment for $240. Now that makes me wonder if they'll lie just to get the $240 for the course anyway. Seems a bit odd to me.
