A few days after I filed this report, I received a call from the Sales Manager at the local store that I purchased the car from. He said after reviewing my situation that Carmax could either give me a new car or try and fix my current car, I went for the new car of course, and I haven't the time to deal with taking it in and out of the shop. So Steve assigned me a new sales rep Thomas I came in that day looked around the lot couldn't really find anything there so I looked around on the Internet and found some cars at other locations. Thomas even took me to all the locations to finally find the right one. I am happy to report that I now have a car 2 years newer than the one before and I even have better warranty. I have to say that they really did stand behind their promises, it just took getting the right people involved. Today is my first day with my new car and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will not go through the same situation. Thank you CarMax!

I recently bought a car and had serious engine trouble. At the local level, Carmax would not even let me speak with the general manager. I got the upper level, regional and CEO involved and they made it right and even apologized. Carmax will stand behind their promises if you move up the food chain. Their must be a lot of pressure on the local level to turn a buck so they are less responsive.
