Went to renew my contract and upgrade my phone, attendant said she needed to contact the manager to waive a upgrade fee that was set to expire in a few days, Manager said no, I could come back tomorrow. I told the attendant I drove 30 miles one way that meant after going home and coming back then returning home again I would have driven 120 miles.
I don't understand I was willing to pay the upgrade fee and said so, I was a current customer in good standing and at the end of my inital contract, and told I would have to come back the next day.
All I wanted was a phone and if necessary a contract. I guess they just didn't need or want to do business. As of this time I have a month and 3 days left on a two year contract. I will get by on my broken phone until then and fid another provider. This time I will buy the phone and just sign up for a service.
In all fairness the people on the phone and emails after this happened were very nice, the store manager called me back as I was typing this (exactly 1 week after it happened) The manager said: "it was a miss comunication". Seems pretty simple to me, go to the dtore, buy phone, pay upgrade fees, get phone and go home. That was a fail. I will get a local service. My time is valulable to me, It meant nothing to them.
Carolina West wireless hs shown me that it has a poor business model. My wife and I could not believe it,
Beware!
