Carrollwood Smiles Dentistry Charged me $1700 for services that were never performed against my credit card. Tampa Florida
Before you judge what I am about to post, be sure to read everything I say about this Dentist and his practice. Others may have had good experiences and I don’t want to take away anything from them. This place is the worst place of business since I don’t know when. They are very friendly for a reason and I found out first hand. They gave me an exam and before I was aware of it, I was being charged $1700 for services that were never performed. The finance manager is pushy and he is a very sneaky person who only cares about what you can spend because he originally wanted $8700.00.
I was charged immediately before I could blink and than I asked them to not charge me until I came back for my appointment. When I went home, I spent the next several days getting much cheaper quotes for my dental work all over town. I received an amazing quote from a highly reputable Dentist in Wesley Chapel that beat this dentist’s quote by $800. When I went to pay the bill, I was told that my card declined. I found out that Carrollwood Smiles billed me for work they never did!!
I have since contacted the States Attorneys Office, WFLA Channel 8 and Synchrony Bank who also fretted upon this Dentist for charging me early. When I spoke to Synchrony about it, they had heard about this before with this particular dentist and apologized on their behalf. I have immediately disputed the charges through my new account and the lady at the front desk argued with me over text messages about this horrible experience that I saved. Do not come here if u want to work with honest people.
This was a nightmare and I hope you don’t suffer what I found out the hard way!! If anyone else was charged before they did work, Synchrony Bank told me to file complaints with the States Office. Highly illegal practice because if you were to die or suffer a horrific issue and couldn’t show up for your appointment, I would have been cheated out of all the money. Do not come here on the basis that you are handing over your rights to these criminals!
