Cartridge World is a well established reputable business owned by local franchisees. The have a written warranty for all there products and every store that I have encountered has bent over backwards to help every customer. They will replace any cartridge for you if it doesn't work properly.
I would try to reach out to the store owner to try to get your issue resolved...or you can call their corporate office and they will do everything they can to try to help you reach a resolution.That info can be found at www.cartridgeworldusa.com. You can also navigate to the individual store website or contact corporate via email from there.
I'm sure they have a polity that was not clearly communicated to you, but I assure you they were not trying to rip you off.
