I wrote a report before but somehow it got removed from here. STAY AWAY FROM CARTVERTISING, IT DOESN'T WORK AN D THEY ARE CROOKS! They don't put up their ads on a timely basis, they overcharge you for the advertising costs. They don't return calls, they don't properly attach the advertising as they say they will, they are liars, cheats and thieves. As for the reps, they are liars and don't believe a word they tell you. they sold me an ad for $2080.00 and then I found out they sold the exact same ad to another guy for $600.00 and the rep said that this was the best deal he could do lowering it from $2500.00 and then playing on my sympathies. I hate Cartvertising and I wouldn't do any business with them ever again. The local manager, Jeff is a liar and a crook, the people who work under him would say anything to close the deal and promise empty results. Their installation is a joke, their salespeople are crooks, what more can I say.
There are no 20,000 people looking at thier ads weekly, they are hidden by the groceries put into the basket and if you ask the people who shop in the stores or even the employees who work in the stores, they don't know what they have in advertising on the stupid baskets, if you want proof, go into the stores and ask the clerks what ads are on the baskets, they don't know!!! And they work there and see them every day! This is a totally unseen gimick ad and will never drum up any business. I didn't get a single call in the 6 months that I was with them. They said that I should have gotten about 30% of the people calling and from their numbers, I should have been getting calls from about 600 people weekly, what liars! Stay away from this company, I've changed over to the monthly mailers with one of the local magazines and I've gottne around 40-60 calls a month and I'm spending half as much as I did on the stupid grocery carts. This is the most worthless medium for advertising on the planet!!!

This guy might be right in another state but not in Utah, get your facts straight buddy, you're lying and I can prove it! Call any 10 ads in any area, ask them what they paid and you'll see that I'm telling the truth about the pricing. This is exactly what I did and it's exacly how I got the results that I did. I don't care how long you've worked for the company, if you're not lying then good for you but here in Utah, the facts are the facts, lousy response, lousy customer service, overpriced product, no delivery on the proposed results and its just an overall scam. Get your facts from the horses mouth instead of another "Peddler of Dishonest Ads who is just trying to line his pockets with your hard earned dollars. Stay away from Cartvertising, they're CROOKS!

This person is trying to make things look better than they are, there are many ads up for up to 2 years after they have expired still on many of the carts and they are there just to create an illusion of demand for the ads. If you check the overall fill rate of the ads in the areas you would find that it is not even half full as you have indicated a full exposure which has never been true. Also take into account that the ads are often deeply discounted which makes any sucker buy an ad for one time only. The true exposure is that not all unhappy customers have written a report, if they did the averages would be well over half and probably around 60-80% who were disappointed in the ads. So why is this peddler of a poor product trying to make a dead cat look like steak? Because it is the only thing on the table. NUFF SAID!

If you are Coca-Cola, Nike, Microsoft or Chrysler, it is conceivable that this is a good medium. If you are a small businessman who is looking for more sales, stay away, Cartvertising is not response advertising, this is exposure advertising. Be sure that you know the difference. Exposure advertising will help you to build your name but be prepared to pay into it a minimum of 5 -10 years without reaping any profitable benefits from your initial investment into this type of advertising until you pay your dues for years. If you don't have $50,000 dollars or more just to be not in multiple locations, but only in one store for that duration without having profitable results, then this is not the right medium for you.
On the other hand, if you are looking for response advertising which is trackable, it is profitable typically within months instead of years, then mediums such as direct mail, the advertising magaziines, telemarketing and coupons in the local paper and magazines that are delivered right to each door is a much better medium. While Cartvertising can tout that they have a client base that continues to renew, the overall persistency of their new customers has been less than 7% in my experience in the past. This should tell you that if you don't have market presence and recognition at a Very Strong level already, this is the wrong medium for you. If you have questions, get Cartvertising to guarantee in writing that you will receive your 40 to 60 calls per month, which they won't because they know that it won't come, and then you will be protected.
This type of advertising for a small businessman is unethical, impractical and dishonest and they will use high pressure and intimidation to try to convince you otherwise. Do your homework and you'll find the truth. Also, if you question the pricing of the ads that have been placed in the past, go to a number of stores, get all of the names and phone numbers and call each one individually and you will find out if this is true by asking all of the current customers what they pay, you'll find incredible inconsistencies for the pricing, I know, I sold for this company and I saw exactly what has been stated above.
Don't be deceived by a "smooth sales pitch," protect yourself by doing your homework first, the ad will still be the same price next month if you wonder if it will be. Also, don't worry if slots will be open in a store, I've seen this intimidation tactic used time and time again and I've never not seen an ad availble in any store at renewal time.

Considering the company does business in approximately 200 stores in 50 states with probably 4 customers in each store (lets see, that's roughly 50,000 customers across the usa) 77 negative reports out of 50,000 is darn good.

Your story isn't even believeable. Who on earth would say you would receive 600 weekly calls? Oh please.

I could not help but respond to this. I have worked for the company for 7 years. I have many advertisers with me who have been on the program for over 10 years. They have been on the program because it forces the people in their community to see their business 2 - 3x per week, week after week, month after month. By being in the minds of the consumers, their business increases. I especially resent the Pricing that is quoted here. This is perposterous and outright untrue. The price is the same for all advertisers. Not sure where you are getting your information but I would suggest you tell the truth. I know your "numbers" are incorrect because there isn't a magazine on earth that would yield you 40-60 calls a month. If you are going to report something, try to be somewhat honest.

I read your report and I can tell right away you are a The glass is half empty kinda guy. As far as the rep that lied to you he is wrong in doing so. but if you believed you were going to get 600 calls a week. You shouldn't be making marketing decisions for the company. Whether you are the owner or not. That was an absolute mistake on your part for allowing this poor decision to be made in the first place. You should have known that rep was dishonest and threw him out of there. I know he is no longer employed with cartvertising, just for the simple fact that Rome wasn't built in a day but it sure burn't down in one. meaning He would have a ton of complaints in a short period of time and Our CEO I assure you would have done you and the company a favor. Plus I took the liberty of checking. I have worked for several companies and this one is as organized and efficient for it's size as any I have worked for. Have you ever called your cell phone company to make a complaint over your bill or your mortgage company how did that go. So don't try to tell the world how horrible this company is on fielding calls or there overall customer service is. Because that is just business at a corporation level to a degree. I know if I have had issues they have fixed them in a timely fashion. Since 1989 they have worked with these type of big grocery store chains continuously and have remained successful through out the 25 years they have been in business. Trust me these huge grocery chains wouldn't stand for people being ripped of on there account. Asking the workers they don't know because they don't care for 9.00 hr would you.. But the people who shop there do and the numerous other satisfied clients we have still to this day. Seems you were looking for a way out since you signed up.
So the question you should ask yourself is why did you in the first place.
Even as untruthful and unprofessional as this rep may have been I'm sure he didn't put a gun to your head and make you sign up. I will be surprised if you are even still in business as negative and obtuse as you seem through your latest complaint
