Rick Gurley of RMRI that posted this "Rip-Off" complaint has provided false details about our dealings with him. He was hired a a subcontractor to conduct surveillance on an insurance claimant, and completley botched the job. It was obvious from the poor quality of work her performed that he had had done little if any previous surveillance work, and he was not paid by us because of the poor quality work. It should also be noted that our client did not pay us for the service, and I don't blame them. Rick Gurley filed suit in Columbia and we won the small claims case. He then filed an appeal, and we decided not to pursue the matter any further as it was just not worth doing so. He therefore won a judgement because we failed to show up for the SECOND court case. He did NOT win based on the merits of the case. Gurley has a criminal record and is known to be "trouble" within our industry. Unfortunately, Missouri only recently passed legislation requiring private investigators to be licensed by the state, and I'm sure many have been victimized by his ability to operate without a state license and the things required to obtaion such. As for others that he states should be worried about doing business with Case Break, anyone considering such may contract us directly for a long list of subcontractors and clients that would contradict this nonsense. As for Rick Gurley himself, he's not worth our time to try to impune his character. We are professionals and have much better things to do, and those in our profession that really matter, already know his story.
