I got mixed up with the ARM loans. I am in the process of losing my home. I took out money from my retirement and took a loan from Cash Call to try to keep my home.

My fiance became disabled in August and I fell behind w/my payments to them. I emailed them stating that my fiance became disabled and it would take me a couple months to catch up. I'm not trying to get out of paying back my loan. I just needed a litttle time to catch up. They didn't offer any help. They didn't email me back. Then all of the sudden they started calling me agressively. They weren't interested in why I wasn't making my payments. They demanded that I pay them. I had to take out pay day advances to pay them and that started a bad cycle. I paid them to stop them from calling my work place and harassing me. They kept calling the emergency phone line for my job reserved for medical emergencies. I repeatedly informed them that they were tying up the phone line reserved for medical emergencies only. They didn't care. They left threatening messages on my cell phone. They called and left messages with my coworkers stating how I am not returning their calls and identifying themselves as CASH CALL. They left a voice mail on my cell phone making fun of how I talk. Laughing and giggling like children making a prank call. Threatening me, saying that if I didn't pay them, it would force them to do something.

Ms. Yvette Brown doesn't care if that is indeed her name. I asked to talk to their supervisor because they weren't listening to me and were talking over me, and they told me they didn't have a supervisor. I fortunately didn't delete their condescending and rude voice mails and reported them to the FTC. Are they not bound by The Administration of Justice Act 1970 S.40???? WHY does the state of CA let them get away with this??!?!

Please everyone report them. Although they can't intervene, they will take your report. 1-877-382-4357. For those living in CA, please call the State Consumer Affairs Division 1-800-952-5225 to report them also. They are loan sharks and if they could put a hit out on you and it was legal they would. Please learn from my mistake, don't take a loan from them. They don't care if you get fired.

Not an employee

First off, I am not an employee of CashCall, or any other loan/banking company. I work for a financial company in NYC and you can look at all the other topics I posted on (where I am also accused of working for that company like BOA, Ebay, TiresPLus, etc). Secondly, making fun of an accent COULD be racist, but only if they directly mention ethnicity. If they simply laugh at it, it's insensitive but not necessarily racist. Thirdly, When you get a loan from a bottomfeeder such as CashCall, what do you expect?

Before recording any telephone conversaion...

check your state's law. I believe California requires that both parties consent to the conversation being recorded. The consent must be obtained at the beginning of the conversation. The non-consenting party (CashCall) can sue for up to $5000 in civil court or can bring criminal charges against the person that recorded the conversation (prison and a fine). If you have voicemail recordings, those are different. The person leaving the message is aware that it is being recorded.

First off, ignore Mike. Cash Call has a lot of their yuppies looking at what people say about them. They know it is true what people say about them but they gotta come on here and put their two cents in. Second, when people call you and make fun of your accent, to me that is racist. The best thing you can do is save every message that they leave you and any e-mail they send you. Also, if you have any conversations with them directly, record them. Then take everything you have saved to an attorney and let him decide what is best to do. I feel for you because I too have a loan out with Cash Call. Eventually, the right person will catch on to what they are doing and they WILL be shut down. It's just a matter of time. Hope everything works out for you.

I would say that the phone reps were arrogant, rude and insensitive, not racist.....in fact, aren't most collection agents that way? The point is you signed a contract and you reneged on such contract.

It is not the loan companies job to offer you "help". They made a contract with YOU, not your fiance, they don't care if he is disabled. You signed a contract, you need to pay what you can when you can. If you tell them in writing to not contact you at a specific number and they continue, you can sure them for harrassment. Send them a letter via registered receipt for proof. And what in this report is racist? Seriously?
