Falling on tough times required me to seek out a payday advance loan. I went through MoneyMutual.com because the television ads are done by Montel Williams and after review online of this website, it seemed legitimate. I actually took out two loans and the first loan explained everything and the finance charges. I had no problem with that loan company. I have a major problem with CastlePayDay Loans.
I took out a $1,000 loan and was told the finance charge was $350.00. Once you create your account on their website, the only information they give you is your loan amount and finance charge. It does not say in the contract that you will be billed a finance charge every two weeks. I paid $1,400 and received an email indicating another payment is due on July 12, 2013. Upon contacting the company via email I was informed that the $1,400 was just in finance charges. Are you kidding me?!?! I never read that nor did I sign / agree to that. This was not disclosed to me upon accepting the loan. I asked for a copy of the loan documents and have yet to hear back from them. I called; however, I could not get anyone to speak English nor could they help me.
I am absolutely fuming. I understand the finance charges with these payday loans but this company is a complete ripoff. We needed the short term money and now we've paid back $1,400 and the loan isn't paid off yet !!! I plan on filing a complaint with our bank and hopes to stop this company from withdrawing anymore money and fight the last payment they took from our account.
