Rented from Castle Apartments, Inc. from May, 2009 to October, 2011. Cleaned and repaired apartment and have not receive our security deposit. Castle Apartments never returned our security deposit nor the deposit for the fitness room keys. The problem stemmed from notifying management and/or outside agencies of problems and series of negative treatment I received from Castle Apartments' horrific customer service. Therefore, it didn't surprise me that this property management company, would not return our money.

During our tenancy, we received numerous negative responses and replies by most staff members. For example, when I called into their office to inquire about a flyer I received, the person who answered was only interested in hanging up the telephone. I was treated as if I was stupid. Another time was when I spoke with their Vice President, Richard Hawkins, "d**k", he was very mean and cruel; for example, when Mina Ryan "Mina", the property manager, informed us how to pay the rent, d**k yelled or spoke harshly to me to do it another way. His approach was always harsh and cruel. Their treatment of me was with negative attitudes, rudeness, and impatient approach, almost every time I called them; and that deterred me, from calling and renting from them anymore. I thought that communicating with them only by email messages to Mina, would be best and to begin documenting communication with them.

One day someone strangely knocked on our door (secured building); I was suspicious, and I felt threatened, because it happened shortly after I reported to Mina about the new girl in the office, "Liz" misconduct. Not only did Liz and others lack customer service skills and knowledge, they were treating me as if I was beneath them. Liz was very ignorant, when it came to dealing with me. One day, I was returning lost keys, my husband found, to the office. Liz jumped in my face, yelling and accusing me of locking her out of the office. (showing off in front of her visitors). It appeared that Liz was sneaking out into the parking lot to meet two men when Jeff, shut the door and locked her out; so she was upset and blamed me. I didn't use the sliding door, I used the entrance with the alarm on it, the door what the general public would use.

Another incident was when we disputed the gas bill. We felt they were ripping us off. During the negotiation and dispute process which Mina Ryan was handling, Liz Conner decided to call our phone with an attempt to intimidate or bully me. She was demanding payment and this call was without Mina's knowledge, per Mina. I instructed Mina to tell Liz not to call our home anymore. I note that Liz called us twice on the subject, while the account was in the midst of a dispute, negotiation, and after we came into an agreement on what and when to pay.

Soon after my complaint to Mina about Liz, I received a letter in the mail, full of insults. Falsely accusing me (Gloria Mason) of physically threatening someone, that they have witness statements also. I requested for copies to begin my defense and to request that this person is terminated. I also contacted the police to see if any police reports were made so I can file criminal charges on whoever was responsible for filing a false report. I suspected Liz the whole time. We asked for an early release on our lease, the release was "gladly", granted, per d**k who failed us by not investigating the allegations. I now suspect his involvement with some form of retaliation. When I complained about Jeff smoking and possibly Liz as well, he defended the employees against me, warning me to not repeat what I was falsely accused. I was clearly treated as if I was a criminal, and that was offensive.

After we moved out and sent the keys by United Parcel Service, to document their receipt of the keys, we have not received our $99.00 security deposit; plus the $5 deposit for the fitness room keys. We cleaned and made any and all repairs of any damages, and took pictures to prove how we left the apartment.
