BULLIES!

Amy Phillips one of the CBS Outdoor Real Estate Representatives advises old couple that they should have read the contract before complaining. A 65 day notice was given to CBS Outdoor so they would remove the billboard on the property they had and because it was not a full 90 days, the old couple were forced to keep the billboard on the property for another 5 years.
Amy said, " Look, they need to read the contract and hung up the phone".

I ran into another woman (60 + YEARS OLD) down at the city of Phoenix in Arizona who said she just purchased a commercial property and she wanted CBS Outdoor to sell the billboard to her and she was going to have it removed and destroyed OR they could remove the billboard from the property and place it elsewhere. Justin Lalley was the representative who was refusing to remove the little billboard and said that she would have to take it up with the legal department.

Why not let the old folks enjoy the little properties that they purchase without CBS stepping all over them for money. If you are even thinking about allowing CBS Outdoor to place a billboard on your property, first contact every single company and make them bid against each other. I think you are making a mistake renting any part of your property to CBS Outdoor. They are bullies and they DO NOT budge.

This company only cares about MONEY! They sell the advertising and if you do not pay, I was told they put up another advertiser and then have their attorneys sue the company or individual in court and attach collections to their credit. Its not enough that they make MILLIONS.

I would suggest contacting 1-800-926-8834 and ask to talk to Dana Wells who is in charge of the Billboard division. I think he will not care either if you can get a hold of him.

I called CBS and confirmed this information directly from the horses mouth.

Are you saying that people above a certain age (60, 65 ?) should not be held responsible for the contracts that they sign?    These sign contracts are usually pretty clear about their terms if one bothers to read them.

In both of the examples you cite, you think that the sign company should just allow people to breach their contracts because they're in their 60s.    Not a very good argument, and one that many people in their 60s would find patronizing and condescending.
