When you receive calls from Credit Agencies, make sure you get the name of the person calling, the name of the company or attorney's office, a mailing address, the time, the date. Once you have this information, you then let them know they have the wrong address and are harassing you and if they call this number one more time, that you will be contacting an attorney and filing harassment charges against them. Harassment is against the law with credit agencies and they will have to pay you and a fine.

Certified Mail - return receipt (proof it was received) - DO NOT SIGN IT (they take signatures and copy them to documents - Illegal yes - but that does not stop them) Collection agencies do not care they are calling the wrong number, to them you are lying about it and they will do nothing with verbal demands to stop calling. Once they have received the cease communications letter - they are required by Federal Law Fair Debt Collection Practice Act to stop calling you, if they continue -YOU CAN SUE THEM! Read the FDCPA law http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre18.shtm

Have you filed with the do not call list? Also, what if you recorded one of their calls (tell them), and tell them that they are calling the wrong person and who you are and keep records and recordings and stuff and tell them that you will go after them for harrasment. Always be sure to ask the caller's name :-). Don;t know if it will work, but hey.
