CCA Aka Credit Service Division ripoff! Dishonest credit card privacy violation. They're rude and they don't comply. Las Vegas Nevada
I received a credit card from CCA without ever applying for one. It was ready for acivation as it clearly said on the outside of the envelope in came in, what a nice message for someone who may have received my mail by accident.
First of all they send a credit card without my permission and all you need to activate it is in the envelope. (Legal... I doubt it). The card had a high purchase limit which was what first caught my eye. I knew something was wrong because I have no credit. I've never had a credit card. I went on to read that this card was exclusively for purchases in their catalog... which I have never seen or heard of. Oh, and in finer print, there was a $200 activation fee. But they would offset this by giving you $200 credti on your first purchase over $500 in their catalog that no one has ever heard of. (Sounding like a scam yet?)
Well, I immediately wanted this card to be cancelled. I had to call the activation number because no other number was listed. The man I talked to was extremely rude. He asked me to read the text under the phone number in my letter. I did. It said "use this number to activate your card." He said "do you want to activate the card (knowing I did not)". I of course said no and all he said was "well." In a rude tone. I told him there were no other numbers to call and I wanted the card cancelled. All he would do is remove me from the mailing list, or so he said.
Somehow I am suppose to believe he removed me from the list without getting my name, address, or anything. All he wanted was to activate the card. Please beware of this business... and don't activate the card!!!
