Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have been a customer of Cellular One for about 6 years. My husband has a phone that he uses in his business and just 2 years ago, my daughter got a phone (big mistake). Since my daughter has gotten the cell phone, needless to say, we have pretty much kept Cellular One in business (the bill has been paid every month), but this one is wrong.

My daughter goes into a store, uses the password, the clerk allows her to change her plan and turn on another phone (her original phone was not functioning correctly), which includes letting her get right onto the internet. I had no knowledge of this and the charges until I receive a $600 phone bill (plus my $40)! Then when I go in and complain, they say that since she used the password it doesn't matter (now why wouldn't they call me on my contact number and o.k. it with me?) My daughter says, oh, I didn't know I would get charged to download "free" ringtones and I didn't know I didn't have free text messaging.

Well, they gave us a small discount, but not enough at all (it was basically we were wrong and of course Cellular One is right). Then, last month, she gets a bill for $535. She was moving that month and didn't realize how much she had run up the bill until we got the bill. I call them, explain the circumstances, including the fact my daughter isn't working and they say "sorry, since your bill is already printed, we can't help you" (even though we've been doing business for 6 years). But we can change your plan for next month (I won't have service next month because my daughter can't pay her phone bill!)

Now, my phone is going to get turned off, too, even though I pay my bill, but they won't let her get her own account (even though now she's 18) until there is a $0 balance. This is not fair and Cell One is going to end up losing 2 customers now. I have been on the phone several times to try to get them to give us a break and so has my daughter and they just won't help us. I wish someone would help us.

they didn't call you about your daughter getting a new phone because she had your password that allowed her to do this. She also was the one who ran up the bill. If she is truthfully now in the military, have her make payments towards the bill, (If she is going overseas somewhere she can go to finance and make an allotment to go to you every month before she even she even gets the check or direct deposit.) It's her bill, have her pay it. (You can probably set up a payment situation with the phone company. I've done it with several companies before. They'd rather get something than nothing.)

I also failed to say that I also explained to the customer service rep that my daughter is now a member of the military and will be shipping out soon and could you please help us with this bill and it was basically "too bad". I will never again sign a contract with Cellular One. I have had nothing but problems with them, when I walk into the store in Hermitage, I have to wait a long, long time and when I call customer service I get one story and when I go to the store, I get another. What happened to taking care of your paying customers?????
