Centerline Financial Group A representative, Dennis Watson, called to say that I had been approved for a loan, I would have to make 4 monthly payments all up front in advance, St. Louis Missouri
I asked Mr. Dennis Walton (?) to fax me a written contract, which looks very real and proper. I did notice that there was no return fax number on the header or footer as there might normally be on a fax.
I decided to go on line to check out Centerline Financial Group, because the terms were low but the risk was high with the upfront "collateral".
I am so glad that I did.
I found out that they are not a legitimate group, but piggyback off of a legit financial organization with a similar name, probably hoping that people will see them and assume they are one and the same.
They prey on the people who can least afford to be ripped off...people like me looking for a quick loan, with not so great credit.
Had I sent them $900, I would have been at a great loss, as I would expect then to receive the $5000 loan they promised me to help pay for my daughter' s wedding.
Being a single mom of 3 kids, like many others, we cannot afford to be ripped off.
It's a real shame that there are so many scammers out there that you can almost trust no one. After reading up on them, suffice it to say, I did not send them any money.
BEWARE of look-alike names that seem real at face value...always do some detective work, it doesnt take much effort if you have access to the internet.
These people should be shut down once and for all.
I hope that they are caught before they can do this to someone else.
