Statement: On January 10 I found an ad in the Lynchburg local newspaper for employment. It was vague but very alluring. I called the telephone number on the ad and was scheduled for an interview that day. I filled out the application and was directed to appear for orientation on Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning at the orientation it was about ten people there. Justin and Chris introduced themselves and the company. They showed us a DVD about the cookware and did a cooking demonstration for us. They asked us to introduce ourselves to each other, which was recorded, they said the reason they where recording us was because their manager or supervisor wanted to select candidates to continue on with orientation.  At the end of the orientation they said they would be calling some of us to return for the two day cooking school to prepare us for the demonstrations we would be doing to the public. Justin stated, "If you don't receive a phone call by four then you did get the job, if you do then you didn't get the job." I didn't receive the phone call so I return for cooking classes which was on Thursday and Friday. In the cooking classes we were taught how to present the cookware by following specific guidelines, which included order forms, step by step instructions, questionnaires, and a survey. Also, they taught us how to cooking the food, and cleaning the cookware. By Friday the class had minimized to just me and another guy. I agreed to sign the contract with them stating that we will cook at least forty-eight dinners by February 11, 2011 and receive the amount of sixteen hundred dollars and also agreed to sign another contract to get my own TowneCraft cookware that would be paid for by the company once we make so many sells. We were provided with a suit case, guideline book, meals for the demonstrations, cleaning supplies, and the TowneCraft cookware. In the second week of doing demonstrations I performed four dinners and I called the office to express some concerns that I had and would be by the office to discuss them with Justin. I went by Justin's office around noon on a weekday and he already left the office for meeting in Roanoke. One of his office employees was instructed, by Justin, to take my suit case and guideline book without any explanation or reason.  I called the office later that week and didn't get a response for weeks. I received a phone call on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 12:25 pm by a woman stating that I have a bill from TowneCraft for the cookware supplied to me, for over three thousand dollars. I went by the office that very day I received the phone call to get an explanation about the bill and Justin was surprisingly there. He said he would offer me another position at the job to pay off my debt but I couldn't return the cookware, I had to pay for it. I told him that I would be in contact with him and that I reported the company to Better Business Bureau.  Before I left I took a few snap shots of the office and employees. The supervisors are:
