I suggest doing SOMETHING about Certegy. All the online complaints agree about their questionable policies. I discovered the many complaints before wasting further time trying to deal with them. Mine is the same situation as most complaints cited. One petty little Amazon order for a extra Xmas gift cd. (*Buying online would save time & much easier than fighting the crowds)?**WHAT WAS I THINKING?

I have a solid checking/C.C. status, yet received 1st notification that my payment was "not authorized" after the holiday-, too late anyway. Figured I'd still buy the CD, thinking maybe it was my newly changed zip code. (I'd purchased several things on same Amazon account in weeks before ordering the cd, & even received the merchandise. I blankly redid the my payment info, got Amazon "okay", received the 2nd unauthorized rejection email 1/8.

Now totally perplexed, I frantically redid payment info & found rejection 3 more times, the latest 1/13 yesterday. I'd like to ignore it, but it's left me wondering if there's an identity theft or some foul play to handle. Certegy is "not available" to answer questions about what guideline criteria they use per telephone & I found a billion similar complaints online, adding that many stated Certegy will not explain the guidelines.

Now I believe there must be a common factor for the unexplained rejections; Such as: BMG MUSIC, or another online big-brother owned thief or business place? After ordering 1 time, & they kept sending batches of awful cd's, charging me without authorization. This old scam still creates a real accounting mess, for which I had the responsibility to prove to MY bank, in writing, that I'd not opened any BMG account or ordered more than 1 time.

BMG is a huge operation, & like many that use Certegy, hard to fight. I'm still disputing charges for awful cd's returned at my expense also. Maybe all the merchants that employ Certegy check services also over their collection accounts to them. Therefore Certegy (being privvy to information about griping customers with disputes or unpaid bogus charges), finds that a viable guideline to reject payments/orders from these whiners when received from all of their merchant accounts? Would like to know!

If others suffered a BMGish experience or had a disputed fishy purchase prior to Certegy's "not meeting guidelines" reject, this might be the needed legal grounds to base a valid class action. It's almost impossible to fight those monsters with all their resources.

I remain, Rejectedly Yours,

Barbara
