Charles Logan Ruined my transmission/never did any work to it. Complete ripoff!!! Baltimore Maryland
I took my car to C & J Auto shop in the beginning of October 2007 where they charged me 1500 to put in a rebuilt transmission. I shouldve knew from the cheap price that the quality of work wasnt good. They "fixed" it.
Whe i got my car back there was a huge scratch on the front fender, they left my windows down so when it rained i had damage to my leather and the interior. The car smelled like old dirty sewage water. And they broke my antennae now the antennae doesnt get good reception, nor does it go all the way back in the car. I had to get in contact with the Consumer Protection Division of the Attorney Generals office in order to get the car detailed n the scratch fixed. The antennae is still broke.
In november, around thanksgiving 2007. I had to take the car back to the auto shop, the transmission failed again and the gears would light up randomly. I would put the car in drive and it would light up in drive and in neutral. Once in the rain i almost got in an accident because the car was in drive but it drifted back and almost hit a car!!!
Well i took it back and they "fixed" it. Well 1/1/08 the car was completely down. The engine would start up, but the car wouldnt move. i was fed up with the shop because this would be my third time in 4 months taking my car back to the shop. I had the Attorney Generals office send them a letter stating that i wanted my money back because they did an unsatifactory service on something i paid money for.
In the mean time i decided to take it to another shop so they could look at the car and tell me what was wrong with it. They said u need a new transmission. I told them that i had just had it rebuilt and they drew up the paper work stating that from the condition of the transmission it seemed that no work was ever done to that transmission!I was pissed!
The shop called n said bring the car here and we'll fix it again.sorry. ( This was after they got my letter that said that i wanted my money back)
I brought it there on 2/5/08. Here was 2/18/08 and the car still wasnt fixed!!! When i would call they would lie and say "oh its going to be ready tomorrow." and when i called they next day i would hear the same excuse, we need one more day!
Well that was they last straw. I had my car towed back to my home and still it sits with a ruined transmission(2/21/2008). I have a 2002 Mistubishi Diamante.
