Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am a Interior Designer located in Dallas Texas.I purchased 2 swivel chiars for a client and they were delivered as non Swivel chairs.

Charles Ray after 6 weeks came to pick up the chairs to have swivels installed on the chairs. After another 6 weeks the chairs were still not completed. My clients wanted to their money back for chairs that still were not Delivered. Charles Ray Never issued me a Credit for the chairs.

I told my clients that I would go right to the Miles Talbot Manufactuer and order the chairs direct so that Iwould not have to use Charles Ray showroom again.

When I placed the order for the new chairs Charlesd Ray showroom found out about the order with Miles Talbot and they told the Manufactuer not to make my order. The manufactuer cancel my order due to Charles Ray Showroom and now after 6 months my clients still do not have thier Furniture.

Charles Ray Showroom has not been honest in this transaction and they have no Integrity at all.

I would not recommend this Company to any Interior Designer. They speicalized in  Miles Talbot and Michael Thomas Furniture.Beware!

The Truth about this claim

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

The designer who wrote this report calling my company a rip off and stating I have no intergrety.

Her story is a twisted version of the truth. This designer mistakenly ordered two chairs that did not have swievel bases for her client. After having the chairs for several weeks and I can only assume the Client of this designer mentioned they thought they had ordered a swievel base. Never was a swivel base mention to the sales person nor was a swivel base written on the order the designer had a copy of. She reviewed the sales order multiple times prior to the purchase and never mentioned a swivel base.

Because I valued her business and wanted to help this designer I contracted a third party to build up the base and purchased swivel bases to be added to the chairs. The time of year was one of the third parties busiest times of the year and the time it would take to build up the base and install the base was quoted as 8 weeks. The designer was grateful and agreed.

After six weeks the designer called me and Thanked me stating she had never worked with a showroom as willing to help a designer out in such a difficult situation.  The designer sited a very difficult client who had been very difficult to deal with even saying she was"  frightened'"  of her client And believed he suffered from bI Polar disorder. That a relative who was the contractor on the project warned her not to have any further dealings with her client. That she should just give him his money back because he could become dangerous. She ask if I would refund the chairs putting them on my showroom floor for sale. I agreed to refund this Designer's money. She was incredibly grateful. Stating my company would have all of her future business.

However, before my accounting office in Ohio could refunded the money, I was contacted by the manufacturer that this designer had attempted to go directly to the manufacturer around my company ..after I had bent over backwards to help her out of a situation twice where she told me and my sales person she was afraid of her client. Ordering the exact same chairs she had conned me into canceling and refunding her money. she ordered these chairs directly from my manufacturer at manufacturers wholesale price from a friend of hers who was a rep of the company. She ordered the exact same frame and  same fabric. Considerably less than she had paid for them from me. I have a contract with this manufacturer that includes the design trade with in a 50 mile radius. The manufacturer agreed to cancel this designers order in an effort to protect my company and the integrety of our contract. They also graciously offered to send me two chairs with a swivel base and taking back the original two chairs. The chairs were slip covered. So we used the slip covers of the original chairs and she got exactly what she wanted. However, she was livid. She had conned me and gotten caught. She did not get them at Manufacturere pricing. Though she continues to state she has an account with this manufacturer. The manufacture had no record of any such  account..in any state.

It is certainly not my company who is lacking in integrity.
