I want to report Charter Communications for falsely charging for services not requested and they will not refund the charges after numerous attempts to correct the issue. I ordered HDTV and was set-up with a DVR Moxi box because the technician claimed they didnt have any HDTV boxes in stock. I was ok to this as long as i wont be charged for the additional service. He claimed I wouldnt and it was there fault and not to worry about it.

Well after a few months I start to notice I am being billed for DVR service at 14.99 a month. I called the 1-800 number to get a hold of billing (which is outsourced to Mexico City).I was told by the representative that I would be credited for the amounts billed for DVR and the service would not be billed in the future, it was there mistake. Again 3 months later I notice no credit and I am still being billed for the service.

I again contact billing to request the matter to be taken care of, again I was told I would be credited. Well two days later I find a card on my front door telling me I missed a service call from Charter to exchange the box.

No one from Charter contatced me with the time or date of an appointment but now they have documentation i missed my appointment, so they can continue to charge me for a non requested service!

I called another time to complain only to get no where. I canceled my autopayment method and wrote a check less the DVR charges and they still have not contatced me to correct the issue but instead put the charges back on my bill.

I again called last night and was on my cell phone for over two hours being passed around, disconnected, only to be told it appears they have there records proving I never requested the service but corporate keeps over riding the credit and will continue to charge me for the DVR service.

I have asked to talk to supervisors with and refused, sent numerous emails with no reply. I have tried to call the local Charter, but they dont list there local number, only the 1-800 which gets me nowhere. I have heard from numerous neighbors and friends how tough it is to get customer support from charter because of the language barrier and time spent waiting for calls to be recieved. Its a same the goverment doesnt stop the Monopoly this company has so the U.S. citizens can get the service they deserve.

Shame on the President of Charter. Dont forget its the day to day customers that pay your bills.

I had to drive to the local charter office and speak to a Charter employee not a contract phone person!! to dispute my additional charges and to cancel my HDTV and to return their DVR box. I must admit this was a pleasant experience and it worked out for the best, I didnt cancel my service and switch to dish. I was given credit for the services I didnt request. I still have major issues with Charter and their very poor phone sevice support on the cable side!! Charter I dont agree with you contracting these services out to foreign countrys and allowing these people access to our personnal information.
