Complaint Review: CHASE AUTO GROUP - Internet

Dear Sam & Maria  I want to let you know that I have received, yesterday, the 1998 Lincoln town car that you have sold to me, with a huge disappointment !! I was very badly surprised and not happy at all with the conditions I have found in the car, which does not look, at all, the same car that the pictures showed on Ebay and I have also noticed that some bad conditions of the car were not disclosed on Ebay.

I really believe and obviously your photograph did some touch ups with photo-shop, which makes the car looks shiny and almost new in the pictures, but actually very far from the reality which also makes me to feel to be cheated on its conditions by the tricky retouched pictures. First of all, the exterior paint is faded and does not show any shine in comparison, very far from the pictures showed on Ebay and in fact this car does not show any shine or brightness, even with white pearl color which normally is shinier than any other regular white.

Then, both headlights are not clear at all but in fact very cloudy, which does not light up the road and with large infiltration of water inside. (about 200 USD to change both of them) The exterior mirror on the driver side is broken and the glass is falling off from its case. All chrome trim, molding, emblems, etc.., I would say all chrome around the car, are faded and really attacked by the weather, again not showed in the pictures on Ebay.

All aluminum wheels have really bad marks of by a mix of the bad weather, attacked by salt or damaged by driving too close to sidewalks, not showed at all in the pictures on Ebay. I have found on the floor, in the back (right side of rear seats) about 1/4 of a gallon of water !!!...I am wondering if there is any infiltration from outside or if the window was left open, while it was raining.

No window are working from their own side only from driver side, even when I try to switch on or off the general control on the driver side !!!...I believe the general switch is broken or else... The carpet is dirty and seats did not receive a good care, for such low mileage car of 51000 miles, they look very abused, marks of wear, evidently not showed on the pictures from Ebay either !!!

The central compartment or console between the two front seats is damaged (leather not stapled or unglued to the plastic of the compartment). again not showed in the pictures. I know I did not buy a brand new car, but a 14 years old one.  I know but be reassured that I would not have bought it, if you had honestly disclosed all it s conditions and if I really knew its true conditions.

However, I have trusted your description and furthermore the pictures showed a prestigious well taken care and preserved car which is very far from that. To remind you I can send some actual pictures (NOT tricky ones)....and you would compare with the ones you have put on Ebay !!! it does not look the same car at all !!!!!... I would appreciate that you get back to me with a reasonable offer to compensate this tricky business that I am victim of from your way of doing business...

Unfortunately I can not return the car since it is now in Republic of Panama and I have paid about 5,000 USD for transportation from N.J to TAMPA then shipment from TAMPA to Port of Colon Rep. of Panama and importing taxes but I can have inspect it by professional company to get a full report to be valid in court of Justice. I did not pay for a car like and I think you have wrongfully and have willingly tried to sell a car which does not reflect the reality to trick an internet buyer with false information and modified pictures. I copy this email to my lawyer.
