Chase purchased our mortgage in 2000 fropm Flagstar Bank. Flagstar was merely a step to get our contract. Unscrupulous mortgage broker "set us up".
In May of 2001 I talked to a "loss mitigation" officer and set up a payment to catch up what they said was a late paymment. I sent 3,000 dollars by Fed Ex and so was told not to worry, our loan would be serviced as it was before the "delinquency. In Sept. of 2000 I was instructed to send a total of just under 3,000 dollars via Western union to assure our account was brought current.
I did this and yet the bank (chase) held these accounts in "suspense" and did not credit them for a total of 3 months. I then received a letter from a firm in Belluvue Wash. saying we were in default and thus in foreclosure.
We sent all docs the agent "Tim Howard" requested and by May of 2001 I thought all was ok, in fact when I called Mr. Howard I was told not to worry and send payments to Ohio until the "workout" docs were recorded.
On August 30 2001 our home was sold ! FNMA took it back and since we have just tried and tried to get our home back.
There is NO way in the world I would let our home be lost for any reason.
I was lulled into a false sense of security by loss mitigation and also had no idea we even NEEDED an attorny to save the home!
Our home was appraise at close to 200,000 dollars and yet a crooked real estate broker here took it for 74,000! In the meantime we have been evicted from our home right before Christmas, my husband has suffered numerous heart attacks. We are always on trial; it seems, they just sail along to the next big score!
In Mason County Washington, prior to 2001 98 percent of homes in default were reedemed from foreclosure, beginning in 2001 that figure dropped to less than 1%! I feel this is due to the rising population of licensed thieves who have moved in here. The Real Estate "broker" who told us to leave our home started full bore on her "job" previous year!
This person makes sure u can not get your home back by filing and selling your propert before u can get legal help!
There are protocols that must be observed in Washington in order to forclose and take a home. I'm sure this person has a lot of these "fine print" terms she can use to justify her theft of others property but I advise anyone who receives ANY notice of default etc. to get a lawyer NOW! Do not go to HUD counselor ( can't be found anyway!) !
I am NOT an attorny and so I didn't know what to do until too late! People shouldn't be forced to be constantly vigilant as to what Chase, FNMA, or the "fly by night make a million in real estate " vultures are pulling THIS time!
There is more to this awful saga but it would take a book to tell it all.
Just BEWARE! The motive for stealing our home was this: I have receipts alone that show over 120,000 dollars we paid for improvements to our property! They came in and got it from FNMA for 74,000!
The person in Lakebay (Andy) was fortunate he could get an attorny and thwart their theft!
I pledge the rest of my life to helping other people avoid these sharks at any cost.
They have to be stopped!
a closing note: They never would have gotten their hands on our mortgage if I had not refinanced from Ameriquest to pay off all our credit card debt! For no reason..all the things we paid two and three times were left on our credit report! So..now in fourth year of bankruptcy and several of these shady s*********s still call and threatren us. They are all in it together! Credit cards, mortgagers, all are in the criminal "foodchain" especially here as they seem to have virtual immunity from the laws that govern us, the consumers.
Our attorny General helps no one save herself. and the banks she backs.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE BANKS!
NEVER NEVER put your home on the line to pay these scum creditors.
