Robert things that he and the big scumbage companies are always right and the little guy is always wrong. He is on several of these boards telling everyone that they are wrong and he is right there is another one from florida doing the same thing. Just ignore them they aren worth your time.

Obviously, Robert, you cannot read. There was one report, ONLY ONE, of fraudulent activity. The first time I had to replace my debit card, I accidentally washed it because I had left it in my pants pocket. That is an accident. That is NOT FRAUD.
The second time I replaced my ATM card, my purse was stolen. When a purse or wallet is stolen, you are supposed to report all of your cards as lost or stolen rather than let a thief clean your account out.
However, Robert dear, that still DOES NOT JUSTIFY any action against my husband's acciount, as the only link between them was the last name- he an I have the same last name. I was not even a signatory on his account as it was an individual account. Having the same last name is not enough of an excuse to screw with his rights, you freaking coporate apologist

Finally, a legit complaint about a bank. It's been a while....
The problem is the threat of fraud and other potential identity theft the bank sees as affecting both you and your husband, and I mean replacing a debit card three times, even for the reasons specified, will trigger the bank to immediately close the account. The action by the bank against your husband, with an account that has no direct reference to you, is so wrong on the part of this bank, but that is their stupid choice.
One of my clients received a letter from BofA requesting he close all his personal and business accounts because there was too much activity passing through his accounts (rebuilding a house). No matter how many times I asked why are they closing the account, the bank would not divulge the reason to me, except to say it was a business decision. Seems to me your bank is doing the same thing to you. This bank seems to be doing everything it can to lose customers.....
Best of luck to you.

You have had to have your debit card replaced 3 times in about 8 months. Two of those times are for "fraud" issues. Obviously they determined you to be a high risk as that is outside of the normal times, and a risk they no longer want to take. They probably associated your accounts together because of similar items(such as address, beneficiary, and/or last name). Whether you think it is fair or not they have that right. It is very likely that other banks would have done the same thing. Sometimes it is cheaper for a company to tell someone they no longer want them as a customer than it is to continue to have them as a customer.
If they close your accounts they are no longer getting their monthly or other fee(s), and basically telling you to go to a competitor. It seems that the only one loosing any money is them. So exactly how are they ripping you off?
