there is no Florida state statute 832.05(a)"1991" Florida ststute 832 covers violations Involving checks & drafts. 832.041- stopping payment with intent to defraud. 832.05(7) stop payments, these two will explain, what if anything needs or should be done. do you still have the stop payment info from your bank? in not try to get a copy for it. If the payment was stopped before your received and you contacted the company, then there is no fraud, no passing of a bad check and no crime. read the stop payment section within the statute and I'm sure you followed the actions listed there. as a collection agncy, they must follow the laws set down within FDCPA demand validation, you want to see the check and the orderform you filled out and not to call you on the phone, at home or work, everything must be by U.S. Mail. send this letter(RRR) you want to see both side of the check, when the bank stamps this it will not say ISF. will have marked it PAYMENT STOPPED they will lie and tell you, you can't see the checks. They must give a readable copy when requested.
