I have been a card member for 10 years. I had been paying on this one card, faithfully $100. plus, for 9 years and 6 months. Knowing I had not used the card that often, and curious to know what all I was paying for, so I had requested for on itemized bill. Since September 2005, I have not paid for one reason, I was a full time working, single parent and had no more money, with no help and very little to no assistance.

It took them 3 months before I finally got the itemized bill (receiving this after Christmas 2005). During this time, I had been enduring multiple phone calls by Chase Bank to collect, hounding me for more money. One of the creditors said I was using this as an excuse to get out of paying and suggested me to go get another job. I was highly upset. I asked them where my itemized bill was, each time after, and they wanted to know why I needed this, and I replied for my own personal reason.

When I received this itemized bill, I noticed that I had only been given 7 years passed. I had questioned this and their reply was that that was all the data they could give me. If I have been a card member for 10 years and asked for an itemized bill for those 10 years they should provide me all of what I had asked for, with no questions and not just partly.

For the last 3 years I made an effort to go directly to the bank to avoid any late fees, bill or no bill. 3 years prior I had sent my bill over night to avoid late fees. The first 3 years and 6 months I relied on the post office and their (the bank) system of payment, when bill was sent.

In reviewing this itemized bill over all, for the 7 years passed, I had only spent $3,007.50, (credit limit is $5,000) this includes all the late charges applied. Of the $3,007.50, $1,317.oo was spent last year alone. During the year 2003, I had been charged every month for late fees, even when they were negligent to send a bill. I had called when I noticed the late fees were applied, they had removed it once. The following months, when I called about the late fees they had said that they have already removed the late fees once before and could not make any other alterations. I have paid over $8,385.98, during this 7 years.

They are claiming I still owe them over $6,000.oo, inwhich just resently have sent my account to a collection agency. This other agency is already calling me now and harassing me. I also have a car note with Chase Bank, that I have wanted to trade in but each time I was told it's $5,ooo.-$7,ooo under, to get rid of it. And because Chase Bank has unforgivingly destroyed my credit that I have worked so hard to keep in good with everyone (all creditors), I am left in dispair.

They have made changes throughout the years (banks and all)and said this is what I signed up for and that they valued me as a customer. I don't believe I signed up for them to take advantage of me, nor did they really value me as a customer. I feel they have altered their interest rates, charged me unwarranted late fees, to get more money out of me. Literally ripping me off.
