Chicago Lenders / Cactus Jacks Auto PAID CAR OFF 6mo AGO & still havent received my title!!! They are saying I still owe!!!!!!! Mesa, Arizona
I had no credit and decided to purchse from a buy/here pay/here place to build my credit. They have you make 2 payments a month. Ok, I was on my 2nd car from this place because the dealership was kind and helpful, but dealing with their finance company is another story.
Since I was on my 3rd car with these people I thought that I had some leeway, I always make my payments even if they were a day or so late never more than that because you always had a payment every other week. Anyway I happened to be 2 days late and they repossessed my car without so much as a call. I couldnt believe it, I just bought and paid for 2 other cars before this one. They had the nerve to charge me $375 for the repo fee + the towing and storage charge, and my regular payment ($200) I had to end up paying something like $6 and change to get my car back.
Now I am not a person with bad credit, but these people talked to me like this was my own fault that I had bad credit (mind you I just bought & paid for 2 other cars from them!) & didnt pay my bills and had my car repo'd - after a 2 day late payment! This is a hustle for these people.
FF - well I paid that car off in August 2009 - oh they made me sign up for automatic debit or else they wouldnt give me back my car and they charged me an additional $5 per payment! I dont even know if that is legal. I had a contract for one payment and the finance company changed the payment 1 year into my account without my approval! So now instead of my $200 pymt I had to pay $205!
Now the car is paid off and its been 6 months and they still havent sent me my title. I went to Motor Vehicles to just get a new one and they told me that there was still a lien on the car!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING?
They automatically debited my account how could I owe them anything?

your fault. you should have paid on time. and yes they can charge you an extra five dollars...?
YOU broke THEIR contract therefore making it null and void. Thats why they have you on auto-debit. And about the title.... why would you wait six months without going down there to get your title? thats your fault too.
