I bought a gorgeous little female puppy from Lynda recently (Jan 2014). I got her because her markings were so unusual and my wonderful little boy (neurtered) adored her of all the puppies that Lynda had. My girl is beautiful with tan, fawn, and chocolate merle markings with bright green eyes. She is charting to be on target for about 5 lbs which is fine with me since life expectancy of tinier dogs tends to drop dramatically. She is extremely healthy (maybe more so than my precious guy) and is intelligent, extremely friendly and a joy. I have had NO health problems with her. She is exactly as was presented and, in fact, the breeder who bred my little guy would like to bred my little guy's brother to her (still deciding on that). Lynda got my girl's papers to me in a timely manner. I am sorry that other people had bad experiences and I can't speak to what happened to them. I can only say that I'm delighted with my unusual and beautiful little girl and I had no problems.

I'm sorry, I really am, if you people had difficulties or unpleasant experiences but I don't know who the heck you are talking about because I have two dogs in my house that I purchased as puppies from Lynda, and both are healthy, happy, well-adjusted and wonderful members of our family. The first one, a little long-haired guy, was referred to by my vet - a 30-year veteran of the best veterinary school in the country, UGA vet school - as a "textbook perfect example of the breed". I wanted a girl when I first visited Lynda, but fell so in love with that guy I couldn't help it, but I stayed in touch and about a year later, she had two long-haired fawn girls and I had to have one! So I do - and neither puppy was sick, or didn't have the shots she claimed, or wasn't the size, temperament or adult that was promised, or even wasn't fully pad trained even though I got my girl at only 8 weeks old.
I have never had a health, behavior, physique or otherwise problem with either puppy. I've visited Lynda a number of times, not just to collect my babies, and always found her 'nursery' to be immaculate. It kinda stinks - of Clorox - because she keeps it that clean - every time I've been there.
I want a blue long-hair, preferably a girl but either sex will be fine, and I've communicated this to Lynda, from whom I will ABSOLUTELY buy my next Chi. I really am sorry if your experience was different, but she was wonderful to me and sold me two truly wonderful, lovely, healthy, sweet puppies. Both my 'kids' are healthy, happy, fine, well-adjusted and I think from my visits that their siblings are too. I plan to buy from Lynda as soon as she has a blue, and if we decide to add to the family sooner than that happens, we're totally dealing with her.

You make it sound so evil that the family had the suffering puppy put to sleep. A Vet will tell a family that if a puppy is so sick and in pain and feel the puppy will not recover it is best to end the pain. I do not know of any Vet who would put to sleep a puppy who had a good chance to recover. People that buy puppies fall in love with them. They do not spend thousands of dollars just to take a puppy to a Vet to have it put to sleep. Lose the puppy and lose the money. And have a broken heart on top of it all. That is so stupid of you to think that anyone would buy a puppy for thousands just to kill it. You are a sick sick breeder. How you treat and speak about your customers says too much about you. TO THE FAMILY LINDA SPOKE SO BAD OF I am so sorry for you. I know it must have been the hardest thing in the world for you to go along with the vet. How sad for you people. God Bless you people.

You are not telling of the same puppy I know about! So you sold another puppy with Parvo! The puppy I know was sick the day the owner got it. Died just a couple days later. The lady did take the puppy to the Vet right away because the puppy was sick right away. On the same day picked up. So you are now talking about someone else! I was told Chihuahua Depot Glo's Angels. I was given the name Linda Harris. I know I have the right Chihuahua breeder. What other family are you blaming for a dead Chihuahua puppy? A visit to a doctor does not stop parvo on its tracks. Shame on you! Parvo would still kill the puppy AFTER the Vet visit, whether pup was seen 2 hours or 3 days after sale. Parvo was in the pup's body when you sold it. The Vet said that puppies that die within 7 days after sale means the parvo is from the breeder's house. The doctor said that pups can pick up new parvo germs and still play for a few days before the germs grow enough to make the puppy act sickly. If the puppy was sick when they picked it up, then the parvo came from your house and the puppy had it already for days. I am sick of breeder's who blame the people who buy the puppies. Terrible breeder.

The incident regarding the alleged selling of a "sick puppy" ... Facts: 1. The puppy in question was a tiny, in the dog business sometimes referred to as a "teacup" size puppy .. very fragile and required 24/7 care. 2. The puppy was READY on the 18th but the buyer did not come to get her until the 24th. 3. The buyer is a "Vet Tech" so she claimed to be very familiar with all the care and issues relating to a tiny puppy. This puppy had been examined with the other siblings and found to be in very good health. The Buyer was around other well and sick dogs in her occupation of business. She could have very well carried the illness to her new puppy whether she wants to admit it or not. It is a well known fact that any Vet to Vet tech is highly likely to carry and or pass an illness to another dog without ever knowing they did. 4. The warranty in our Agreement that the Buyer SIGNED REQUIRES A PUPPY to be inspected by a licensed Vet within 24 hours / 48 if shipped. The buyer DID NOT take the puppy until days later. The Buyer claimed should could not get a Vet appointment. The Buyer should have planned better since she knew the puppy was READY almost two /2 weeks earlier. The Buyer decided the day of pickup not us. 5. When the buyer picked up the puppy she was on her cell phone the entire time while a Representative tried to go over everything with her. The Buyer stated she was a Vet Tech and knew all of it. The Buyer accepted full responsibility for the puppy and signed in agreement with our policies. 6. The first email to our company was from the Buyer's "mother" claiming the puppy was not eating well but she seemed happy and they really loved her. We explained again that it was imperative the puppy had to eat every 4 / four hours or it could get very sick and die. The email never mentioned ANY other symptoms of any sort. 7. We never heard from Buyer until days later when an email was sent stating the puppy had died and the test showed positive for Parvo. 8. The company immediately started asking questions. If it was TRUE then other dogs could be sick, etc. Our Kennel Home halted all sales and co-mingling of any adults or puppies for 14 days. We were glad to report that we did not have any issues. We took every precautionary measure to insure the safety of the animals. The Buyer's mother admitted in emails that the puppy had been taken to the Vet and that she seemed fine except for a loose stool, days after she was purchased, not within the time-frame of the warranty, and the Vet report supplied to us STATES THE BOWEL / URINE was fine, the fecal was OK, there was NOTHING on the Vet Report that stated the puppy was sick!! 9. The Vet report also states it was the 2nd visit .. Now, we questioned this many times with the Buyer. Instead of getting the Vet's office to give us a letter stating the Tech had written it down wrong, that this was in-fact an error, the Buyer chose not to correct this and supply it to us. The Buyer, instead, just scratched through the Vet report and wrote first visit. We have no reason whatsoever to believe this was not the second / 2nd Vet visit. If you were certain this was the first Vet visit then why not get the Vet to substantiate the error? 10. If we believe this was the 2nd Vet Report then that means the first Vet Report was without any concerns or issues. And, further, if this was the first Vet visit even though the Vet report stated 2nd visit .. Then it still stated the puppy was not unhealthy / sick! The puppy had a loose stool, probably caused by the changing of environments and the hypoglycemia from not eating, and could have been numerous reasons. The puppy was given Panacur because the Vet believed the puppy had giardia. Giardia is commonly caused by bacteria / bad water in most situations. Giardia Facts . . . "Once an environment like a carpet or a lawn is contaminated with Giardia, it can be almost impossible to eliminate this parasite." Giardia -- one of the most significant waterborne protozoal illnesses in the United States, which infects both pets and humans. Giardia is a one-celled, microscopic parasite that lives in many different and often unexpected water sources, The Giardia cyst can survive for weeks to months in cold water, including ponds, lakes, streams, city reservoirs, backyard swimming pools, water systems, and even tap water and purified water!!! Many times when a puppy changes water it can get this illness because of the water differences. We see this more often with shipped dogs moving to another water system as well. Giardia, like many other common puppy illnesses, are all treatable. Even Parvo is treatable, a puppy has an "80% survival rate" if given the proper care and given immediately upon signs for it. Unfortunately the signs for Parvo are like most signs for giardia, hypoglycemia, coccidia, etc. Symptoms look like ... vomiting, bloody stool, loose stool or diarrhea, listlessness, pale to white gums, staggering gait, refusal to eat and sometimes fever .. The Vet did not list this puppy was "unhealthy" or sick. It had a common stomach issue which is common in 85% of all new puppies! No other comments, no other prescriptions whatsoever. There is nothing on the Vet Report that states sick or unhealthy puppy whatsoever! 11. This buyer being a "Vet Tech" knows firsthand that parvo is a very serious. Parvovirus can live in any environment for up to a year .. on your carpet, in every yard, on car tires, Vet offices is very common place to contract it, on your kitchen floor, from other pets that are immune to it, Parvovirus can be spread on hands, feet, floor, insects, clothing, tools, food pans, rodents and flies traveling from PLACE to PLACE! Dogs may carry the virus on their fur and feet even if they themselves do not get ill. Remember that this virus has been around for nearly 20 years, is very hard to disinfect away, and is shed in large numbers by infected dogs. This means that there is virus everywhere!!!!!!!!! Canine parvovirus disease is currently the most common infectious disorder of dogs in the United States. There is a 3 to 7 day incubation period when the puppy can begin to show clinical signs of the illness. 12. When the buyer took the puppy to an ER Vet the puppy tested a false-positive which happens when a puppy has been injected with PARVO from the vaccines within 3 to 14 days after the vaccines are given. We asked what "tests" were given to the puppy and there was only one. The Buyer should have obtained several confirmed tests not just one. The buyer never had the ER try anything with the puppy .. After they were given an estimated cost to try to save the puppy .. THEY EUTHANIZED HER! The Buyer never gave us an option to pay for her and save her ourselves!! Now, the buyer comes to us asking for all the money back or another puppy that could potentially be neglect again, in our professional opinion. If the buyer had taken the puppy to the Vet as covered under the warranty then we would be responsible and replace the puppy. People understand that warranties, policies, etc. are in place for a reason .. It makes both sides accountable and responsible under an Agreement. Once a puppy leaves any Breeder's care we have absolutely no control over what someone will do or will NOT do to care for the puppy. These puppies are living beings and have to be cared for just like a newborn baby. Puppies get sick, like babies and toddlers get sick. The difference is if the "owner" takes action and seeks immediate care and would take all appropriate actions necessary to save the life of the puppy! Any loss of a puppy is a tragedy any we regret anyone going through such an ordeal but in this situation we are not to blame. This buyer needs to own her responsibility in this situation and understand this was her new puppy, and she should have done everything possible to insure the well being of her. The buyer did not even care for the puppy according to her emails; she had someone else do it for her. We believe what happened was this tiny puppy was very nervous in her new environment, developed hypoclycemia and even possibly cocidia ... was tested for Parvo which tested as a false positive and she was put to death / Euthanized instead of trying to save her!!!!

It is very upsetting to have the woman above say that those writing about their bad experiences with CHIHUAHUA DEPOT are lying. So you had a good experience and received a HEALTHY puppy? Good for you. Lynda had nothing to cause you trouble about did she? Come on, any breeder who can't even say she is sorry after a puppy she sold dies within a few days of sale is hiding something. The breeder has the nerve to sink so low to blame the broken hearted customer. Now that is a nasty breeder who is fooling those of you who got lucky to buy puppies that did not have disease. The breeder is good to you because you don't have medical bills and you don't have a dead puppy. The puppy was sold already with the Parvo virus. Lynda refused to answer emails regarding the sick puppy and she did not return telephone calls. She wants the customer to vanish. Lynda has that virus in her home and I hope someone turns her in before she sells anymore puppies with the virus

Sounds like 2 people here are guilty. 1st reputable breeders do not adopt their puppies to be BREED. 2nd If they breed before and the adopters was stopped by who? because of not breeding the correct size? I see shih-tzus ugly and bug eyes and eyes with lots of white incorrectly bred from backyard breeders. Yes you can breed down after long time of slowly doing it in your lines. I think both parties are guilty Guilty of putting MONEY before the well being of animals. Visit your local shelter leave the Breeding to experts.

I adopted one of Lynda's chi's about 2 years ago. I happened upon this complaint and felt the need to respond. When I met Lynda at her house she was very kind, although the house was a bit unkempt. I was able to meet several chi's, but fell for the photo of one in particular. I was not looking for a teacup, but had a requirement of floppy ears. My baby has 1 floppy ear. Lynda was very kind to me. Even forwarding a baby blanket to my chosen baby for him to have until he came home. Now, I understand that maybe things didn't go as planned for some people, but I pose this question to them. Do you love your baby? Did he bring you happiness? Does he or she have a loving heart and look at you like you hung the moon? My baby does. After I brought him home we found out he had mange. Was it a pain to get rid of? Yes. Should Lynda have told me? Yes. Does it make me regret buying my boy? NO. He is the most loving, wonderful, intellegent and may I say best looking Chi I have ever met. So I ask. Do the annoyances out weigh the love and happiness you are getting? They did for me. We need to think about the babies, and make sure they are loved. So what if your Chi weighs 2 pounds more than you expected. Who cares???? No one will ever love you more than your Chi so honestly?...get over it and enjoy your baby!

This REPORT DOES NOT REFLECT THE FACTS OR THE TRUTH MELISSA: We list our puppies on several Web Sites as many breeders. We also have local pickup prices, which are less. We also have some litters with several puppies the same colors, etc. Here are the facts: Melissa you might want to stick to the facts FIRST and be honest which is not represented here with anything you have written: 1. You found us on Breeders.net site this is a local site and the prices are always and will always be less. We can only display 4 pups and this chocolate boy was one of 3 the same look and same markings but different weights. When you saw the chocolate boy you did not know which one he was so the price you saw was for one of them but they were all different prices, i.e.: tinniest girl was black and sold for $5000, another for $1500, another for $1250 and another for sale for $1250. Further, these puppies did not live with me but a family member who also breeds and his Vet records reflected the size that was told to you since we never had possession of any of the puppies UNTIL they were moved to Atlanta from NC. All of this information was explained to be you! 2. When you MENTIONED you located the chocolate boy and the price was lower then I told you I would honor that price! This chocolate boy that you ACTUALLY TOUCHED is STILL 2.11 and he will NEVER GET BIGGER than 3 pounds as it was explained to you as well .. over the phone and via email before you ever decided to come and see him! He was NEVER going to be 2 to 2.5 pounds .. those puppies are always $3000 to $6000 in price and that was explained too .. I have all the emails! 3. You can CLEARLY SEE there are 3 CHOCOLATE PUPPIES!!!! If you wanted him SO MUCH then why did you buy the long coat boy? You stated you only wanted a short coat boy that would be around 3 pounds grown. 4. Did you tell anyone in your report how you have purchased a couple of Chihuahua's to have returned them the NEXT DAY to the breeders? You only own one that you just recently purchased and she will probably NEVER GET to any size where she could be bred. You know VERY LITTLE if anything about the breed, history, care, issues of the breed, really just not a clue about what you really wanted, how to determine a size of a puppy or anything. You have a habit of buying a puppy and returning it the NEXT DAY!!! 5. You and your husband used to raise another type breed and you were forced to STOP because you did not breed the quality you promised, etc.!!!! 6. A TINY or PREMATURE PUPPY can and will always be underdeveloped ... I have delivered many and every single one of the tiny tea cup size are always behind in teeth, eating, basic development .. they are equivalent to having a pre-mature baby! A Vet will look and can only go by STANDARD development so when your VET TECH voiced an opinion it was just that HIS TECH (not licensed at all) OPINION and how would he know since he is not a licensed educated VET!!!! If you raised Yorkies then you would know that a runt or tiny puppy not only has to be hand fed or put on the mother dog much more often than any of the others, supplementated possibly and cared for much more closely then no wonder you NO LONGER RAISE YORKIES!!! Our puppies are born in playpens where they live with the mothers, are handheld by us daily, and checked every 3 hours be someone attending to them 24/7. EMAILS: Subject: Re: Chocolate AKC Boy .... Date: 11/11/2006 9:21:39 P.M. Eastern Standard Time From: (((ROR REDACTED E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR SECURITY PURPOSES))) To: [email protected] Melissa .. TRY AGAIN YOU DID NOT TAKE THIS OTHER PUPPY YOU PICKED TO THE VET THE NEXT DAY .. It was 2 days LATER!!!! This was easy why did you have to lie about it? You came to our home on Saturday and took him on Monday .. equals 2 days not the NEXT DAY as you wrote. You held and WEIGHED the chocolate boy and the long coat boy. We showed you all of their information and let you BRING IN YOUR OWN SCALE FROM YOU CAR!!!! If we were hiding something then we would not have let you do that at all! You left our home and could not decide. I TOLD YOU TO PICK THE CHOCOLATE BOY that he would remain very small. You fell in love with the long coat boy! About 20 minutes later, you knocked BACK AT THE DOOR and YOUR HUSBAND SAID my wife wants the LONG COAT BOY NO MATTER WHAT SIZE HE GETS, WHETHER HE CAN BREED OR NOT, NO MATTER WHAT SHE WANTS HIM!!!!!! Melissa .. you have mislead this report trying to pass off as if you BOUGHT THE BOY YOU DROVE ALL THE WAY TO GET .. he was everything I told you he would be and still is TODAY .. under 3 pounds BUT YOU purchased the long coat boy. The boy you DID PURCHASE IS THAT AGE .. was very tiny and should remain very small based on his parents, charting since birth .. but if you OVER-FEED HIM or give any dog human food you will cause him to be much bigger! The CHOCOLATE BOY you claimed you just HAD TO HAVE in this report is the only you should have purchased because he is UNDER 3 POUNDS and always will be!!!! Next Time why don't you tell your husband to TELL THE TRUTH and what he should have said was you wanted the long coat boy because you THOUGHT he will be the smallest one! Not that you just had to have him no matter what!!!! We are not responsible for how a buyer takes care of or does not take care of the puppy once it leaves our care. IF YOU WERE SO nervous to buy from us and thought we had lied then WHY DID YOU COME TO OUR HOME? Because you thought you would getting a $3000 potential future Stud dog for $850 DOLLARS so you had to RUN AT THAT CHANCE! We honored the price since you thought the chocolate boy on one site was the same boy on the other site .. instead of ARGUE with you we showed you the litter picture of the 3 chocolate boys SO YOU COULD SEE WE WERE TOTALLY TELLING THE TRUTH and taking a loss on the value if you had taken in which now you should have like we TOLD YOU! Subject: Re: Black Long Hair Tri-male ... Date: 11/13/2006 9:24:07 P.M. Eastern Standard Time From: ChihuahuaDepot To: (((ROR REDACTED E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)) Melissa: First, I will be very brief with you. If you were uncertain about our conversation then why did you come to our home? I manage several puppies of my own and the other family breeders so I rely on their information too. You choose to come and see our puppies for sale and we have provided to you all the information we believe is correct. We have been selling Chi's for over 30 years and are fairly certain we know about this breed and all the important information regarding them. Why you are taking an adversarial position about this puppy "you just had to have him no matter what?" We sold him to you no matter what! Let's go over the facts: 1. You asked me on the phone was the "chocolate boy" about a pound and I said yes that sounded right. I had never weighed him. You never asked me too either. This puppy came from my sister along with others so I had not weighed any of them while in my home. The parents are both very small and the entire litter is too. 2. The price difference from the Internet to the local price will always be different. You said you were hours away from us so to me then meant shipping so later when I spoke to your husband and he said you would drive here to get a puppy then we of course honored the lowest price. This is what we do for all the buyers! 3. You checked the puppies in our home and decided to wait. YOU came back knocking at the front door about 20 minutes later stating you wanted the long coat black puppy no matter what! Your husband further stated even if he was "bigger", got "bigger", if he could not "breed" you just wanted him no matter what! You stood right here next to your husband and signed the paperwork based solely on the fact you wanted this boy no matter what without any stipulation, concern or discussion whatsoever! Did your husband state, standing in our living room next to you, that you wanted this puppy no matter what? YES, he did and you did too! You have the long coat puppy now, your Vet confirmed he is healthy, and "no matter what" he is yours now! Best Regards, Lynda Finally, Melissa STOP MAKING BAD DECISIONS and actually figure out what you want and read up on the topic! You returned every Chi you had purchased BEFORE and we were not going to let you out of our contract since you SIGNED THE AGREEMENT and everything was written, explained and you left our home feeling terrific about him with his PAPERWORK IN hand, knowing his birth date, knowing he was a tiny puppy, etc. Stop making everyone WRONG because of what you do!
