The work we provided along with the materials were simply outstanding! The customer saw the cabinet display at our showroom before purchasing the materials. He was able to examine the material and inspect the quality beforehand. They went ahead and did the remodel because they liked the materials & liked the price. However for some reason when its installed they were not so happy with the cabinet color. We showed you what your getting before you paid for it, we put up the granite and flooring samples next to the cabinet to make sure it matched, they were very happy with the decision they made. They saw the product beforehand, what more can we offer? We did come back 2 times to touch up the grout for the tile flooring. The grout did not dry right the first time around. This happens sometimes when the leveling of the homeowners floor is not the best. The grout is not that big of a deal, it only takes a few minutes to re-grout certain small areas. We did that, and now everything is fine. There was a bit of miscommunication regarding a double trash can vs. a single trash can cabinet, they briefly mentioned it one point in time during the 3 week decision process on their end, but we never confirmed the double trash can, and they never paid for that upgrade. When you are buying something (anywhere) you need to make sure you are getting what you want, the seller can't read your mind! The buyer has to tell the seller what you want. This is something we learn at a very young age. The install proceeded and we used a single trash can cabinet as described on the invoice and design they signed off on. We like to believe no matter what the customer is always right, regardless of miscommunication, they wanted a double trash can cabinet. We would have no problem switching it out for a double, its not a big deal to drive to the factory and swap out cabinets, but the factory for that cherry line cabinet does not manufacture a double trash can cabinet! Instead we tried to show good customer service by offering the homeowner a $100 credit for this inconvenience. They happily accepted it and we moved on. We did not have to do that, we could have just said sorry and moved on. Also recommended that they can buy a universal adapter to turn the single trash to a double, for $30-40 at home depot or a local hard ware store. The cabinet drawers are brand new, they will stick a bit forthe first 2-4 days of use, after that they will slide in smoothly any cabinet installer & cabinet manufacture can verify that. We provided excellent customer service (we can show you emails between the homeowner and us confirming that) On another note their deposit of $4,000 bounced half way into the job, we didn't stop the work we still proceeded with the job and they paid the deposit with a cashiers check the next week. We think their kitchen looks great, we can show you pictures to prove it! I hope Mr. Kevin Geaney will realize that his kitchen is wonderful, and was worth every dollar he spent.
