I have a loan with this company for a vehicle that I purchased to date I owe approximately $2,000.00 on it. Each month they send a bill that contains a stub to be remitted with the address typed on along with the payment. I write the check out put it in the window envelope with the payment remittance stub and send it. Within the last few months they have sent two with a Michigan mailing address on them when in reality they should have gone to the Louisville,Kentucky address. Of course, these two payments have been late as the Michigan offfice does not forward them on to the Louisville address. I have rewritten checks and contacted my bank to stop payment on them costing me money. Chrysler Financial has now sent this information on to the credit bureau and it is now showing up on my credit report.

I sent a letter to Chrysler explaining what happened and l explained that even if I had noticed they wanted me to send it to a different address than usual I would not have questioned it. With the economy the way it is offices and businesses are closing daily, if you send me a payment stub with a mailing address on it whom am I to question as to where it should be sent? I am just trying to pay the loan. They have refused to remove these two late payment reports from the credit report. I think this is so sad as they are asking for the country's understanding as they are struggling right now but because I am just one person it is okay to file a report affecting my credit. I am willing to pay the vehicle off if they will remove the reports to the credit burea. Good luck trying to even get a hold of someone to discuss it. They send lettersbut put no phone numbers on and when you ask for the person it is like dealing with a needle in a haystack. After all, it is not like they did not receive the payment at all. As soon as I was aware of what happened I proceeded to write new checks and correct the problem. The customer service department told me they would take care of the late payment charges but still they have sent this information off to the credit bureau I think anyone who does business with this corporation needs to beware after all who knows if they are not purposely doing this to receive extra monies in late payment charges. Furthermore, should I have called their customer service line and I know (as I worked in Customer Service) I would have been told if that is the address on the bill that is where it should be mailed. And had I handwritten the address and put it into an envelope it would have been sent to a dead letter bin and would have still resulted in a late payment. This company is very thrifty and sneaky please be careful when dealing with them. The want us all to undersand their finanacial situation but don't want to budge to help their customers. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau but of course they used their privacy rights to get out of supplying any information.
