I am so angry at Chrysler Financial that I will never purchase another Chrysler product, much less use Chrysler Financial again. Likewise, I will tell everyone I know not to have anything to do with Chrysler.

I purchased a new Dodge truck in 2004 from Bossier Dodge in College Station , TX and a new Jeep in 2008 from Team Auto in Navasota , TX . Until this month I was satisfied with the two vehicles and proud to recommend them.

The Dodge truck has been on automatic draft for over four years and is close to being paid off. On October 28, 2008 , Prosperity Bank returned an auto draft as unpaid ( I am moving my banking from them to a local bank and was unaware that I had left the account short of funds).

The automated calls started coming, several times a day to both my office and my cell phone, from early in the morning to late in the evening, seven days a week. I was interrupted several times while I was with clients and I could not imagine why Chrysler Financial was calling me. When I finally got to a live person, I was informed that the auto draft had been returned. In the course of 52 months, one returned draft, and I'm treated like a criminal. I asked the Chrysler Financial representative to send the draft back and was informed that they could not do that. I said I would take care of it.

The harassing phone calls continued every day, several times every day. Every call just serves to make me angrier. I told my secretary to get the payoff for the truck. Chrysler Financial refused to give her the information. I called again, got a live body, Mrs. Monteer, the Chrysler Financial rep, I asked her to send the payoff information to The Bank of Anderson, which I carefully spelled out the name of the bank President and the name of the loan officer handling this transaction. I was told that they could not send the information to the bank at my direction; the bank would have to request it. So, I emailed all the info, the account numbers, phone numbers, etc to the bank and asked the bank to make the request, per Chrysler Financial directions.

After several attempts my loan officer finally got a Chrysler Financial representative on the phone. He was told that Chrysler Financial could not release that information to him and that I would have to make the request. In the meantime, the harassing phone calls are still coming.

Once again I called Chrysler Financial and spoke with Mrs. Stanley who stated that she could see a work order to send the payoff information to the bank, however, they just had not been able to get around to it and that it could take from 72 business hours or up to two weeks to get the information sent on.

In the meantime, the harassing phone calls are still coming.

Today is Monday, November 24th, 2008 . The bank still does not have the payoff docs from Chrysler Financial. Mr. Smith (from Chrysler Financial) says oh yes, he can see in the records that the payoff has been ordered, but that doesn't't change the fact that the payment is late.

What happened to customer appreciation? The payment would have been made, the truck paid off, over two weeks ago if Chrysler Financial cared about customer service. Any company that treats their customers like this should go out of business.

In the meantime, the harassing phone calls are still coming. Three so far today.

I am appalled.

Respectfully,

Nancy

Hello ms.perry, well.. i do apologize for all the inconvenience you've gone through as a result of the returned auto withdrawal. I understand that the phone calls can be very annoying, but keep in mind that if you made all your payment on time, we are also contacting you so you don't negatively affect what seems to be good credit. Either way, these collection calls are automatically made by the collections dept once an acct is past due. I believe this happens with most companies(i know for a fact, i've been late with bills myself a couple of times), and is in no way targeted at you personally nor does it take into acct your history with chrysler. About the payoff information, there should be no problem with us sending the information to anywhere that you desire, and on behalf of whoever told you it was not possible, i apologize. As a means to protect your security and that of your personal information, we do not give out information on your account to anybody other than yourself unless you verbally authorize them to obtain information when you're on the phone with us. Keeping all of this in mind, it is always recommendable that you make your payment even if you're thinking about having your bank payoff your loan so you can avoid any type of credit marks and obviously those annoying collection calls. Either way, you would receive a refund for the amount paid over the total payoff once the bank pays us off. I hope this was helpful, and i hope these problems did not prevent you in anyway from having a great thanksgiving happy thanksgiving!
