They ripped me off too. They same $9.95 charges as everyone else. I just saw the charge on my credit card. After spending nearly an hour tracking down their website www.consumerinfo.com, I spent even more time trying to figure out how to access my account.

(It is at the bottom of the page...a very small link called "My Credit Center")

I then realize that I don' know what my username or password are, so I request them. About twenty minutes later I get them via email. After loging into my account I find no link offering to cancel my service. More wasted time. Finally I click on the Frequently Asked Questions. How to cancel. Call. Great. Nobody picked up. The machine couldn't help. I decided to try a couple times over the next hour just in case. Nothing.

Anyways, I found this site and sent an email to [email protected] as well as their customer support at [email protected]. I let them know of course that their company should really rethink how they do business. Anyways, I'm giving up on my money I lost. I really don't want to go through the pain and frustration of getting it back. Hopefully they cancel my account now, and I hope that other people find this report helpful.

Ps. if you are really pissed at them. Send them lots of complaints. They have to pay someone to check the email. If that person is spending all of their time looking at complaints about their unethical website, they will eventually find it economically feasably to change it.

I was just thinking that there has to be some irony in this.

This isn't necessary, but I was just thinking that there has to be some irony in this. A company that people go to check on their credit history and rating is in a way jeopardizing their customer's credit history and rating. stupid, stupid, stupid...
