CIC Credit Reports I cancelled within 30 days and still charged ripoff Orange California
I cancelled my "membership" 2 days after I signed up for the free report, because I do know that NOTHING is free. They were holding actually $10.00 from my checking account for almost a week, and I went back online 2 days after getting the lame report and cancelled the membership.
I just got my statement online and of course found a charge there for $79.95. Well, I went back online last night to cancel AGAIN the membership, and called this morning. The gentlemen on the phone told me there was not a SINGLE account of my trying to cancel my membership. Well, I told him I had cancelled twice,once beinging over a month ago and I wanted it done now with a full refund.
There was a certain person on this website who accused us of being "victims", well, I've been reading the accusations on this website, and I find it disdainful that the individual can not see that this company is playing on the general publics trust and the desire to better their lives by clearing their credit. They are hoping that people will just roll over and not read the fine print.
You have to understand, most people that are getting this report are in the lower income bracket, and only trying to get out somehow. Well I didn't rollover, and I was still taken for a ride. I cancelled TWO days after signing up!! And some people hadn't even gone to the website and we're still abused by having their card numbers stolen.
This company will lose, eventually.
