CIC Credit Monitor Service "Free Credit Report" not free Ripoff Orange California
Like many others, CIC Credit Monitor Service billed me $79.95 for a free credit report.
I called them and stated that they were not authorized to debit my credit card. The man I spoke with offered little resistance and said he would immediately cancel my "membership" and refund the money within 7-10 business days. About 3 minutes after I hung up the phone I received an email verifying this.
I further told him that he should be concerned about the numerous postings on the web about his company and that I too would be reporting their scam. He clearly had heard it all before, but again, did not argue or resist in any way.
Good luck to all who have been taken in by these slimy people.
