I don't understand why you are all complaining that you got charged after the fact that you gave your information away. I went to the same website www.freecreditreport.com and it says it "free for one month" after that you will get charged. If you didn't call and cancel within 30 days then you will get charged. what dont' you understand? Call and cancel before the 30 days or get smart and if you really want a free credit report go to www.annualcreditreport.com you are given a free report from each credit bureau and if you want a credit score then you have to pay. READ THE FINE PRINT AND BLAME YOURSELF IF YOU DON'T READ THE FINE PRINT.

I just noticed they are charging my credit card yesterday. I am shocked at all the complaints. I cannot remember agreeing to these charges, so I am just asking them to stop. I am not demanding a refund. If so many people are complaining, there must be something to it. I just called them to cancel and was delivered an excessive sales pitch about credit card fraud. I told her I still wanted to cancel and she continued to argue saying my report had been flagged 7 times (this could be true because I applied for a loan recently). I told her I knew my report was fine because I had checked it. She then asked me how I could have possibly done that because there was no record of it. I told her the loan officer at the bank had done so and I was sitting right there. She still wanted to argue. I then told her that I have been reading about their firm on line and I knew their reputation She would not give me a cancellation reference number either. She also did not deny that her company was problematic. I hung up without much re-assurance. I am terrified that these people have my social security number.

Everyone is complaining that membership programs like PassportoFun, shoppers essentials Travelers advantage are stealing money from accounts, when they in fact gave their permission to do so, they just failed to read the disclosures that told them that while internet shopping and they completed that "Survey" or took the $$ off offers. The disclosures are there if you choose not to read them - ITS YOUR OWN FAULT.

While I agree with what you are saying, you also need to pay a bit more attention to the Web Site. No where that I can find says it is free for a month. It has not been a 30 day trial for quite a long time. It currently is only 7 days, but in some places they state 9 days. So it seems that they can't even keep track of how many days your trial period should be.
