Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I've  had the worst nightmare involving Cincinnati Bell and Vengroff, Williams and Associates.  The nightmare began December 1, 2009 when Cincinnati Bell sent be a bill for $6,912.36 for 1 month cell phone service.  After several months of fighting with the customer service dept., Cincinnati Bell finally reduced the charges to 1,071.81. I discontinue my services with Cincinnati Bell in December 2009.  I am still fighting Cincinnati Bell regarding the balance of $1,071.81. I cannot get a straight answer from Cincinnati Bell or a copy of my bill showing exactly how I accumulated the charges.  Cincinnati Bell sent my account to a collection agency Vengroff Williams and Associates Inc.   This agency is probably the worst agency I have ever had to deal with in life.  These people are rude rude rude.   The account manager J.J is a horrible person to engage in a conversation.  She does not care how she talk to people.  She is not professional by any means.  She loud and very outspoken.  She left me speechless after our last conversation. I knew than, that this lady is crazy and she loves her nasty tactics.  I requested a break down of charges and she exploded. "You need to call Cincinnati Bell, don't call me" she stated.  Every time I try to explain to this maniac the conversation end with both of us screaming at each other. The last conversation I had with her, I had to hang up.  She is in the right position she's is vicious.  My next step is to contact a lawyer because dealing with Vengroff, Williams and Associates is not worth having a heart attack. According to this collection agency, who are suppose to pay them and you better not ask any questions.

SOUNDS LIKE IDENTITY THEFT TO ME

SOMEHOW, SOMEWHERE, SOMEONE GOT YOUR CELLPHONE NUMBER AND THE IDENTITY THAT GOES WITH IT AND THEY USED IT TO MAKE A LOT OF CALLS...

SOMEBODY MADE THOSE CALLS.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THEY WON'T LET YOU SEE AND ITEMIZED STATEMENT OF CALLS THAT YOU MADE ---UNLESS THIS SCAMSTER MANAGED TO CHANGE YOUR ADDRESS TO HIS OR HER ADDRESS WITH THE PHONE COMPANY AND HAD YOUR BILL SENT TO THEM.

HAVE YOU CONSIDERED GETTING AN ATTORNEY TO DEMAND THAT THE PHONE COMPANY TURN OVER THOSE RECORDS TO YOU.

HAVE YOU HAD  A WALLET STOLEN LATELY, EATEN OUT AT A RESTAURANT AND PAID WITH A CREDIT CARD AND THE SERVER SWIPED IT OUT OF YOUR SIGHT?

OR YOU FOUND OUT THAT YOU WERE NOT GETTING YOUR MONTHLY CELL PHONE STATEMENT ( WHICH I ALWAYS INSIST ON GETTING WHEN I SIGN UP WITH A PLAN) AND SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE PHONE COMPANY THEN AND ASKED THEM WHY?

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I DO IT, TO MAKE SURE NO UNAUTHORIZED PHONE CALLS ARE BEING MADE ON MY PHONE,

NEARLY, $7,000 WORTH OF PHONE CALLS MEANS THAT SOMEONE OR MANY SOMEONES WERE USING YOUR PHONE  FOR A RATHER LONG TIME.

ABOUT HANDLING THAT COLLECTION LADY?

GET AN UNLISTED AND UNPUBLISHED LANDLINE PHONE NUMBER AND THE HELL WITH HER.  BE SURE YOU SPECIFY YOU WANT BOTH TO WHATEVER LANDLINE PHONE COMPANY YOU ARE USING.

OR YOU CAN SCREEN YOUR CALLS WITH AN ANSWERING MACHINE.

OR CHANGE CELL PHONES.

AND YOU DO NEED TO GET YOUR LAWYER TO ASK CINCINNATI BELL ABOUT YOUR BILL AND PROVIDE SOME DOCUMENTATION DURING THAT HUGE BILLING PERIOD COMPARED TO THE CALLS YOU MADE DURING EARLIER MORE REASONABLE BILLING PERIODS.

YOUR CREDIT IS SHOT AND WON'T BE HELPED IF YOU DID PAY THE COLLECTION AGENCY.

BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE IDENTITY THEFT TO ME AND THEFT OF SERVICES FROM YOU.

fight them with taping them and complaints

#3Consumer Suggestion

I would suggest you start taping these people calling you.  Once you get the tape I suggest you file a complaint with your attorney General of your state.

The bottom line is you need to get evidence on these people calling you names etc.

You can also file a complaint with Federal Trade commission.  they do not litigate complaints but record them.  If the get a lot of complaints they go after them.

Its worth a try.  Also some attorney Generals of some states have gone after these clowns in their own states.  New York is one.  So filing a complaint with the attorney General in the collection agency state could help.

What ever you do you can fight these scum bums.  demand the proof (itemized statements.  I would also file a complaint aginst  Cincinnati bell with your A.G office of consumer protection.  Tell them you want an itemized bill.  In your complaint tell them you have yet to see it.

I can tell you first hand that Ohio Attorney General was a big help for me years ago.

I live in another state.

good luck and never give them soc no. bank info or predate checks.  In fact they are not allowed to except post dated checks.

Good luck and fight, fight, fight
