On monday 10-08-2007 my Cingular (AT&T) phone which is used for business stopped accepting incoming calls. This was not noticed until one of my business clients e-mailed me at 5:45pm after the work day was done. When clients would call they went straight to voicemail even though the phone was "on". I have 3 of these Nokia 6102i phones just in case anything goes wrong (I can't be down ever). The sim chip was transfered to each phone with the same results, only outgoing calls were available. Clearly a system "Glitch" on their end, not my phones. Calls to service at AT&T were long and did not fix the issue.

The last one placed me on hold for 15 mins. My business depends on this phone working so being a sucessful businessman I call the local Circuit City-Verizon outlet, they said they could help. In 30 mins. they ported my old Cingular number to their new phone and incoming calls were accepted immediatly.

This was too easy, although AT&T has been my one and only cell service for 12 continous years I felt some relief leaving them. Onto the next issue: early termination fees. they want to charge me 175.00$ even though they never fixed or knew what the issue was! It is my personal opinion the the company is too big and has no service agents capable of even memorizing the alphabet.
