For the pass month i've been calling cingular trying to figure out why my bill was so high. I spoke to over six different people telling me the same thing that the company billed me wrong. When they sent the bill to the higher adjustment group they said my claim was denied because i was roaming....for the past month they were telling me they billed me the wrong way and when i called back they said they never told me such a thing and that i was lying. So now i owe over 1,000 dollars since i didn't pay my other bill on time...the bill was in review...by the way so how would i have known how much to pay. The company lies....the whole time we have been with them they lied and their services are so bad. If anyone is thinking about getting cingular please think again. They are a major ripoff big time. I don't know what to do...i don't really have a thousand dollars to pay it off and i feel even if i take them to court where is my proof.If anyone has any advice please let me know.

For the pass month i've been calling cingular trying to figure out why my bill was so high. I spoke to over six different people telling me the same thing that the company billed me wrong. They said even if it was a roaming charge, they still made a mistake because they charged me for every minute. Also i'm not familiar with thier services because i was a suncom consumer, cingular bought suncom and my phone was automatically changed to their services. We also made a concern that we didn't want cingular but there was nothing that we can do since we needed the phone. When they sent the bill to the higher adjustment group they said my claim was denied because i was roaming....for the past month they were telling me they billed me the wrong way and when i called back they said they never told me such a thing and that i was lying. So now i owe over 1,600 dollars since i didn't pay my other bill on time...the bill was in review...by the way... so how would i have known how much to pay. I'm more upsett that the company would lie about such a thing, if they would have told me the situation to begin with then this could have been handle quicker and easier. The worst part is they claim they made a mustake and thier represenative sent the bill to review. So i don't see why im the one suffering so much. The company lies....the whole time we have been with them they lied and their services are bad. They are a major ripoff big time. I don't know what to do...i don't really have a thousand dollars to pay it off and i feel even if i take them to court where is my proof.If anyone has any advice please let me know.

First, I am NOT a Cingular employee or in any way connected with Cingular except as a customer. Unless you have at least the "Nations" plan, you will incur roaming and long distance charges. The "Nations" plan starts at about 39.99 per month and goes up from there. You have the opportunity to dispute the charges with Cingular if what you think is incorrect billing. I would advise that you go online and download your calls and see if the codes show roaming or long distance. If on the other hand you have been misbilled, you can take them to arbitration and win. They misbilled me and when I went to a real Cingular store, they corrected it on the spot. However, we had to go to arbitration for my wife's misbilling and won a years worth of free service. Good luck and keep at it. What the other CSR's told you about wrong billing won't hold a cup of tea, just make sure you have your facts straight.
