I didn't work at that specific store. I worked for Circle K in Florida for almost 7 years in management. Although I'm not trying to defend this company, I do want to let you know that what happened to you, happens all the time. Yes, in Circle K you have to prepay before you can dispense fuel. Some people don't know how much gas their vehicle will take to fill-up and they just leave their credit cards with the cashier to hold. I did the same thing once. I charged one customer's credit card for someone else's gas. After that, well. You just learn to be more careful. Maybe that lady was tired from all the days she's been working and didn't realize she had the wrong credit card. Trust me, if you worked at a Circle K, you would know that there is no way you can get away with that. There are digital cameras, and those little credit card reports say the time and date the credit card was swiped making it very easy to track. In the 7 years that I worked as a store manager, I never saw anyone even try. But I did get a lot of customers using their friends and family members credit cards illegally.
