I had a miserable time buying from trading_circuit on eBay. I don't think they know these auctions are timed. If I ask a question about an item I'm bidding on, I would appreciate a response within at least 24 hours. Oh, they do answer with an auto response, but it doesn't addressed the initial question posed.

They state that they "always leave positive feedback when payment received" Yet, I got negative feedback from them even though I paid them for two items via PayPal within the hour of winning the auction. Why the negative feedback? What else do they demand from a buyer? My initial emails were friendly, professional and asked very easy to answer questions. As the clock ticks away, and a day or more passes, and the only response received is an auto email, I tried to contact them again. They never responded and I bought two items from them without ever receiving a direct human response. Nevertheless, as I said, I paid them within the hour. They have no basis for leaving me negative feedback. They are a retail company and should be acquainted with the policy of "customer service". They ignored customer inquiries about their product, left negative feedback when they promised positive feedback if payment rec'd quickly.

Also, I believe I was overcharged for shipping. They charged me almost $22.00 to UPS two items in the same shipping zone by ground delivery. I rec'd one item nine days after they received payment. I have yet to receive the second item and they never sent shipment verification. Nevertheless, like I said, I contacted UPS and provided them the info regarding weight, size etc and they said shipping would be $15.66. Keep in mind that's what I would pay as an ordinary Joe. This is a part of Circuit City, I'm guessing they get some kind of volume discount from UPS. Not surprisingly, when I contacted this seller regarding my concerns about overcharging for shipping they have yet to respond. I guess they have labelled me a problem child and their method of providing customer service to people that they don't like is simply ignore them and they will just go away.

Well, they sell thousands of items on ebay. They get a lot of positive feedback, but review the hundreds of negative feedback entries this seller has. These aren't petty or unimportant issues being raised. This seller is just plain unresponsive to Buyers, retaliates with negative feedback (even though they receive prompt payment and have made a profit) and is very rude and unprofessional dealing with the general public.

You can correctly assume I will no longer make any purchases from this Seller. My whole buying experience with this Seller has been so unpleasant that my family and myself have agreed to boycott Circuit City as well. That's not a minor threat either. We are in the market for a HDTV and a Media Edition Computer. In the past we have always made major purchases at Circuit City. Among the past purchases includes our main TV (Sony 36" TV that cost $1200 in 2000) and we bought our Washer/Dryer from Circuit City when they use to sell appliances. I know our boycotting them now doesn't mean they are going to suffer record losses, but if they don't clean up their act and learn the basics of good customer service, we probably won't be the last family to say..."you know, Best Buy sells the same items at about the same price and they don't treat their customers like sh*t"

Trading Circuit Should (and Would) Be Removed From Ebay (They're Just Too Big!)

First my Consumer Comment - I hope you post this sad tale under the Circuit City corporate name as well, as they are the ones really responsible for these rascals. Second - yes, they definitely charge too much for shipping! I paid $49.99 in shipping/handling for a box of 32 Gamecube and PS2 video games (which don't weigh that much) - and they shipped them MEDIA MAIL! (probably cost them $10.00 max) I wouldn't even have minded that so much if they had ever actually arrived. And third - there is no reason Ebay should be allowing them to leave retaliatory negative feedback for innocent buyers who completely fulfilled their obligations to Trading Circuit. If you read their feedback, you will see that they are leaving these comments for buyers who paid right away, tried diligently to communicate with them and then finally resorted to leaving DESERVED negative feedback for Trading Circuit after all else failed. In my case they have now left 30 negative comments on what was previously a perfect 100% positive feedback record of 370. There is NO WAY Ebay would let any small- to medium-sized member get away with this! Trading Circuit has almost 1400 negatives in the last 12 months alone (not counting the 57 who were coerced into Mutual Feedback Removal to get the negative comments Trading Circuit left off their record.) But unfortunately Ebay has bought into the "get rich quick and run away" mentality, and they rarely discipline even outrageous infractions these days if the offender maintains a high volume of listings (read: profits.) One more final Consumer Comment: I have found that filing a report with the State Attorney General for the location you purchased from can be useful. In your case, you're in luck because the center is in Walnut, CA. I'm somewhat worse off, having dealt with Marion, Ill, but pity the poor buyers who had their purchases shipped from Ardmore, OK!
