Clarksburg,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Fri, February 13, 2009
So, you obviously didn't check it too well. First off, it's not Circuit City's fault. It's the employee's. And I've actually seen that happen before, having worked there. The associate simply grabbed the wrong model camcorder, and when he went to check the price for tax he thought it was marked down even more. Yes, they should've checked the model #, but mistakes happen. Walking out without double checking, especially when they said it, ESPECIALLY when it's a liquidation sale, the blames only on you. As for the iPod. They are sold in an acrylic clear case. There's no way to purchase it and see that it was the wrong item. And it would clearly say "sansa" on the sandisk mp3. Someone simply bought the wrong mp3 player. The only complaints I keep hearing about Circuit City these days is the customers thinking about getting a great deal and going home with something else. When at a liquidation sale, I would check EVERY model # of EVERY product, even before I paid for it. The liquidators don't have to replace the product even if you prove a "scam" 2 seconds after purchasing it. I see a trend in these complaints, which probably is true for every company... I live in a place where the customers rarely complained, and if they had a legitimate complaint it was resolved by outstanding customer service and management. All these reports of scams seem to be in locations where the customers try to scam the companies as much as they say the company tried scamming them. Maybe it's our environment that we have become accustomed to. Food for thought.
