SN of Kansas, The notice that you have received is called a change in terms notice. If you do not have any Citi Credit Card products, either for your self, a business you own, or a credit card with your name on it under the name of the business you work for, then you should call someone at Citi immediately. That type of notice is only sent to someone who has a Citi Card product in thier name, our cardholders. If there is an account open in your name without your knowledge, it will not go away and there could be more. There are several numbers you can call, For Consumer Cards 1-800-950-5114 or For Business Cards (Most likely with the FL address listed) 1-800-750-7453 If you do not have any Citi Credit Card products, I would call both numbers, tell the reps what you recieved, and that you do not have any Citi products. They will be able to locate it with the address and name on the flyer. The rep will then get you connected with a group that will help you close the account, start the proper paperwork, and identify any other accounts from your credit reports. This new unit's function is to specifically help guide consumers on how to correct these types of things. I am going through this myself, and it can be a nightmare. So, this is how I happened upon the site. I have accounts that were opened in my name without my knowledge. Any thing over a year has been a nightmare. The longer these accounts are open, the more harm it does to your sanity and your life. If they can't find the account referenced in your flyer, just write back to this site, and we can see about finding a way to get you a direct number to call for help sent to you via the webmaster. Just remember, that letter is for cardholders. If you got that letter, there is an account out there with your name on it.
