Citiwide Appliance Repair Darius and Carolyn Smith Fraudsters and Thiefs Ellenville New York
Called CitiWide appliance to repair a stove and dryer. Darius Smith the technician came out and looked at the appliances, however wasn't really knowledgeable as I would think, but deferred to the expert anyway, because I know less. Had a hard time locating the serial numbers, was ill prepared. Needless, he said I needed two parts, and they would have to order them, this took place in August. Was told it would take 10-14 days, so I said 'Okay' call me when the parts are in and we can schedule the repairs. I should mentioned I paid up front, which included a service warrienty for 3 years for 3 appliances, it was expensive, but these were high end appliances. I don't work from home, so I had to keep adjusting my schedule to accomodate appointments, however each appointment was cancelled, because of some unforseen issue, fire at the office, stuck on a prior job, no reason, no call back. We are now in November, and as of Monday, when I took another days off, Carolyn smith claims to have left a message letting me know that the tech couldn't make it, I have no parts and my appliances are still broken. The establishment if just two people, with sham addresses. There seems to be three listed addresses for the company, and numerous numbers, all are a sham. There are a number of Yelp reviews discussing fraud, so I am not alone. I've engage my credit card company to help me recoup this alarming theft. Do not use them as after futher review they are not even member of the BBB.
If I cannot get the money back from the credit card, thankfully, I didn't pay by check or cash, I will go to small claims court.
Again avoid this 'business' at all costs.
