CITY FINANCE AND SECURITIES Ripoff Fraud Seattle Washington
I received a letter in the mail from a company by the name of City Finance and Securites, Inc. I called the number on the letter which is 1-866-381-5868, I was to ask for Mr. Williams. I did call on 3/27/06 and spoke with a gentlemen. He asked me what name was on the letter and I told him Mr. Williams. He didn't say if he was Mr. Williams.
He said I had won a sweepstakes in the amount of $350,000.00 and that I was sent a letter to let me know of the win. I said to him I didn't receive a letter and he said I probably threw it away without opening it. I won the money about a month ago.
I was instructed to deposit the check today and he would have to find out which address I would have to send $2,800.00 as his fee for letting me know about the sweepstake win. He said I could call him tomorrow or he could call me tomorrow and he would give me the address where to send the check.
I was suspicious so I went to the internet and searched the company and I found an webset that called ripoff and found out that this is a scam. Thank you so much. I would have lost between $2,800.00 and$5,000.00.
