Do not pay any money to reputation management companies for mugshot removal, especially cleansearch.net AKA clean-search.com AKA removearrest.com as they are a SCAM. By contacting Clean Search for mugshot removal you are essentially placing a target on your head for further proliferations by this criminal racket. Let me share my story.

Several years ago I was arrested and the case was dismissed because I was completely innocent; I matched the suspect's description but was completely innocent -- wrong place, wrong time. Nonetheless, I found my mugshot online years later. I knew the record of my arrest was public record, but I didn’t want my name next to a whole bunch of actual criminals so I wanted it removed. I found removearrest.com, a site owned and operated by cleansearch.net, an SEO reputation management company. Even though the site looked extremely amateurish and there were dead links and English errors everywhere (apparently the owner has a thing for apostrophes), I was desperate to have this record removed and I was attracted by their “proven” offer. Unfortunately, I took the bait when I would have been much, MUCH better off doing absolutely nothing.

I paid hundreds of dollars and it worked, initially -- my mugshot was gone, however, months later I saw it on another site… then another, then another, then another…. Soon enough, I was overwhelmed by all of the copies of my arrest on the internet and decided not to fight it anymore as I was already wasting thousands of dollars to this racket for each removal before realizing what this reputation management company was actually doing, and I have evidence to support my claim:

CleanSearch.net knew I would pay for mugshot deletion because I contacted them interested in their services in the first place. They SAVED my arrest details (including mugshot) before deleting it only to scam me later. How did they delete my mugshot from a mugshot website? Easy. Of course they claim “proprietary techniques” and other SEO hoopla, but the reality is they just pay mugshot websites at a fraction of a cost that I pay them to remove the mugshot, and keep the record to solicit other mugshot websites months or years later to host the record so that again I would see it in search results, paying more to remove each and every one -- more money for the reputation management company and the more money for the mugshot website owners. Everybody wins except me, which is why I’m getting my word out – to prevent future victims from falling trap to this terrible racket.

Now, you may think that the other mugshot websites were not solicited by CleanSearch.net to host my record to yield future profits from removals – that those arrest websites possibly obtained my record from public sources, not knowing I would pay to have them removed, but hear me out on this. These other mugshot websites had NO OTHER arrested persons from the same county in which I was arrested in, not one other person. Of course they have thousands of arrest records from this county and that county, but in my county? Just one. Me. Nobody else. Talk about being targeted!

So, here I am, out thousands of dollars before finally giving up, and my mugshot still lingers on not one but several mugshot sites. I am a victim of the CleanSearch mugshot removal censorship B.S. industry.

You know what’s funny is Cleansearch.net claims to have “genius SEO skills to bury unwanted online information” but when you type in “cleansearch.net review” in Google you’ll realize that they suck at SEO if they can’t even manage to get rip-off reports about them off page 1, let alone from the very top results. Liars and thieves, that’s all they are... A complete criminal racket.

I bet this company will refute this post, naming me as a person of lies, trying to destroy my character by identifying me when really they have no idea who I am as I’m posting this anonymously and I’ve never expressed my contempt to them directly other than politely asking for a refund to which they refused. They have no idea who I am so don’t be fooled but more importantly don’t be a victim. They are nothing but liars and thieves.
